Hi. One thing in this video is kinda mind blowing. "Science" has given 26 points. How? I can see the Scientists Guild card. But it shoud give substitution of one scientific symbol. So (in case of Ephesus) it should give collection of 3 and should NOT give another collection of 3. So scientific points should be: 9+4+1 + 7 = 21. But here it looks like make 9+9+1 + 7 = 26. Bug?
(SPOILER) Crazy that you were still able to win that after throwing so many cards and even losing one of the fights at the end! Nine point Philosopher's Guild doing a lot of work.
Late to the party but wondering why alexandria is so bad in 3 player. I thought there is a problem with getting browns in 3 player but alexandria has an extra caravansery to help them
Interesting switch considering you had good resources and a set on first round, better than many would do on a green push. But in the end it makes perfect sense.

Yes, 2 years later I still think they would be a big improvement. There is potentially some better improvement, but that would require bigger changes. Revisiting them after some time, I was actually kinda surprised how much I like it, I am usually very critical of my own work after a while, because I see some better ways, but here I would be extremely excited to play this version on BGA.
6:24 can you explain your reasoning behind not taking Vineyard here? This seems like the strongest angle for Vineyard, given how much it gives you -- is science that scary?
Yes I do still play, I kinda recently rediscovered my love for the game after like 6 month break. The opinion on the expansions haven't changed much, I like Edifice the most.
dunno if someone cal help me understand how to sum up the points for green, cause i often play the board game with my friends but according to the way we calculate points it would be different. All the cards with the same symbol should have to be elevated to the power of 2, the guild of the scientists will give an additional symbol of your choice, not all 3 of them in the same card, and finally if you add points like this you shouldnt be able to use other combinations ( like 3 differents symbols are worth 7 points ). so if I calculate with these rules it would add up to : 5x5 + 4x4 + 3x3 = 50. cause we add just one of the symbols of the guild. however i was trying to understand the mistake we made, and if i calculate with all the symbols of the guild it would be 5x5 + 5x5 + 4x4 = 66. Still not the 76 points showed in the video. what the hell did I misunderstood?????

05:05 Here you can simply play an extra turn on the right via Piraeus to then discard the green feather card (free chain for your opponent). No need to destroy both green cards, as your opponent can't afford the left green card. It costs them 4 coins. This way you can save a whole extra turn for later on.
It is tough to follow your dark mouse on the map! Maybe a laser pointer esque tool can help follow your explanations when you say:"Here" but I don't see your mouse
Sorry but I have to say this tier list is not on point at all. The stats are very clear and you can clearly feel it when playing the game: Tier 1 : Hali, Rhodos Tier 2 : Ephesos, Giza, Babylon Tier 3 : Alexandria, Olympia
It seems like most of the 7 wonders content on youtube/BGA is from the base game only. Is there a reason for that? I didnt see many if any videos on your channel featuring games with all expansion either
There are 2 reasons: the biggest one is that it's the only way to play on the most popular platform BGA. The 2nd one smaller and personal is that the expansions, except for Edifice are not that good. Especially from a competitive standpoint.
@@thedoublehelix356 Most game implementations on BGA are volunteer developed. So if there is no motivation for developing expansions, they won't get added. 7 wonders expansions are super swingy, and BGA skews slightly towards competitive play. That is my guess.
i only play olympia at the 7w app.. i have only one stratergy and its wuite effective. however, i feel like it’s hard to find new strategies for this wonder so its great to see this!

One frustrating thing for me with this game, if im playing lets say a 4 player game, is when I sort of feel forced to take more than one green card, because another player is clearley going for the green-card-strategy, just because NO ONE ELSE takes a single green card. This game looked like that happend a little bit. So my questino is, what do you do in thoose situations?
People can bury also, but if you are playing a 4 player game and 2 other players don't realize how it should be strategically played, yet it will be awkward no matter what. It is a 4 player interactive game, other players can ruin the experience at least a little bit
I like how your weired recources force olympia to overcommit on his own recources But isnt the loom pickup from him just terrible? It loses him conflict age 2, he had acces to loom by then and leads to 6 recource cards and two semirecources on his stages and he dosent even get the chamber of commerce to capitalise on 3 grays
I could never play such a weird setup with such confidence. Crazy how olympia has a guild that gives 8 points and one that gives 9 points, and a palace, and still scored that poorly. One question I have is how babylon didnt get more tablet science tokens? I guess he took the yellows instead of them and the other players buried the rest?
I feel nostalgic seeing these recent videos! Besides stables instead of archery range like you pointed out, Olympia should have training ground for sure instead of useless loom

Hey there! I know, quite an old video but we got the game recently and have a question about the magical artifact "Fortunetelling." It says, take 3 artifacts and discard 3 artifacts. Does that mean, you can take the essences for these 3 discarded ones, as if you would discard regularly, or is it just a tool to get deeper into your deck for that specific card you need?
I'm so excited that you're ranked in the top players of challengers. Ive been playing that game non stop since it released. Would love to see some content for that
My main problem is that real time content is a bit slow for challengers, I guess it's more of stream type game where you talk to other people while playing
I might do some more Challengers in the future, but my problem is the live gameplay has a ton of busy waiting and is probably not that interesting. I might do something like a tier list or archetype list.
