@@TheEntireRobot lol 😂 just a regular gigging musician me. I still have mine no issues in about 5 and a half years. AND it was second hand when I bought it. Pretty reliable mic and does the job perfectly.
I have a Pro800 already where do you think I got the samples from? It's not that any qualities have been lost it just sounds different. The point of the bank is NOT to attempt to make the Wavestate sound like Pro800 rather to add a bit of flavour from the Pro800 to the Wavestate. With the exception of the Drums(one Shots) I've only sampled the Raw waveforms from the Pro800, the sound design is all done on the Wavestate, the filters, envelopes, FX etc. So essentially it should sound like a Wavestate with a hint of Pro800. To replicate the sounds from the PRo800 on the Wavestate is a completely pointless task for me. Don't get me wrong the Pro800 (for the price) is an amazing 8 note analogue polysyntyh. However it's a very limited synth engine you actually have a LOT more control over the sound from a sound design perspective on a Wavestate. The two synths are not really comparable its oranges and apples at the end of the day.
@Angelstarscotland Yeah but I take samples every day They don't sound analog once you sample them. I have the sample editor And the korg wavestate. And when your speading the sample across the entire key bed you lose a lot of characters. You end up with a less quality sound with no controll over the parameters of the preset. I also have the pro 800
@Angelstarscotland Once you sample them And design a patch On the korg wave state you are stuck with that one sound. You can't tweak the preset Sure you can add color and flavor But I can do that with other effects anyway
@@CyberWaveRadio-nn4om Of course if you want it to sound analogue you don’t digitally sample and loop it. I understand what you mean by control, if you sample a completed patch you wouldn’t be able to control the sound much afterwards and if doing that you really need to sample every note. However it was only the basic waveforms I’ve sampled from the pro800, like saw, square triangle, pulse and a unison saw. Unison saw is nice because then you can make supersaw pads that’s impossible on the pro800. So you actually have a lot more control over what you can do from a sound design perspective than what you could do with a saw on a Pro800. You have a lot more filter options , envelopes LFOs and mod possibilities without even touching wavesequencing. Although you can’t cross mod waveforms like on the pro800, all synths have their advantages over others. I’ve done a lot of sound design on the Wavestate using raw oscillators from other synths, it does certainly beef up compared to factory samples. The presets I made using the Matrixbrute oscillators sounded mega fat.
Im in the process of filming a no-budget horror/thriller and trying to get my head around the wavestate for the soundtrack. Can you recommend an idiots guide for someone new to synths and looking to use one?
Hi thanks for your comment/question. I'd love to be able to answer your question could I ask which preset are you referring too? Then I can tell you the purpose.
@@lavoltabbona Ahh I see what you are talking about. It's just a way of controlling the Polyphonic aftertouch, the purpose is to add expression and variation to the sound.
I'm good a few synth things going on in the background synth wise I can't talk about. Regarding the WS it's Volume 12 for me so I'm trying to be a bit more experimental so my new patches don't just sound like the old ones lol. Hope you are well to my friend
I've always wanted to hear a slow version of the great song, as the lyrics have a lot of emotion in them and I feel you have done it justice. Well done
i think me and dan fell out arguing about ukraine and you know wat its just one of them but that war it did occur to me recently and no ones talking about this apart from gerald celecnt is that russia gonna face a counter insurgency and the nightmare that comes with that that wars never gonna end putins an idiot and he took the bait he could have done things differently and not started a war and still protected the donbass he could have put troops into the dpr and lpr and said its a peace keeping operation and not started a war guys a muppet but their looking at a counter insurgency and then he'll know why nato got ruid of its junk and concentrating on counter insurgency
