Great exercises! However I am unable to hold my leg for more than 5 secs since I feel terrible tension in my hip flexor and quadricep. Then I switch the leg after every exercise.
If youre just starting its normal to not be able to hold your leg up for a long time. If it helps, try to do a little warm up first for like 5-10 minutes and do some light stretching for those muscles
Just got back into taekwondo after 8 years. I'm struggling with leg control😬 so I do my best to train at home looking up videos like yours on YT helps me a lot.
Somehow RU-vid is pushing this video to lots of people and you seem to like it😄 Is there any specific types of videos you would like to see me do next? Haven't done any instructional videos for a while.
No need to call me sir. Calling me Sami is fine😄. 90 degree raise is okey if you cant do more. Its not about how high you can raise your leg its about feeling the burn on your muscles.
Thank you! I would't say that i have amazing control😄 The benefit from that move is that if you do it slowly it will affect your muscles that you use when you do those kicks. If its too easy, kick higher or ad some weights
That was awesome to watch, my friend! You've got some skills! Especially coming off an ACL tear! Combat sports athletes are always going into a match with injuries and other burdens that no one else can see or understand without being there themselves. And in spite of that, you gave a fantastic performance, and I actually learned a few things watching you compete. Man, this bring back memories of taekwondo competition back in the day, it seems like that was a lifetime ago for me. But those were fun times. Thanks so much for sharing!
I think that the Back Kick is one of the most powerful and difficult kicks in Taekwondo. Do you practice Back Kick a lot and do you use it in competitions?
I can relate. I'm 2 years post-repair but I've not regained the strength through my balance has returned. I'm also probably 20 years older than you, so my recovery has been much slower. Glad to see you regain your strength, speed, balance and flexibility.
This was the best fight i ever had. I was not thinking about winning or losing. I just wanted to give my all and my opponent was one very tough fighter. I still can`t believe he was still standing after that one head kick🤔 Did you like the fight?
At first it seemed that i can handle this guy, but then he started go get through my guard. I was very pissed that time ran out😒 What do you think about the fight?
