I apparently got a 3rd degree burn by falling asleep with the heating pad across my abdomen. It makes me wonder if some tissue is more prone to burns than others because Ive never burned anywhere else and use the pad frequently.
My son was just served with a notice of divorce/mediation request(?). He works from home, and his wife has been a stay at home mom, but my son has been the one cleaning, cooking, and doing more housework than she ever has. She was supposed to be homeschooling the children, but they are all behind because she'd rather take them out on day trips and ignore the school work. She CAN work, she USED to work, but the minute they got married (she was pregnant) she wanted to quit. He was in the military at the time. I'm telling him to PLEASE do NOT sign anything or agree to anything until he speaks with an attorney.

That was fairly uninformative. I'm a 65y/o man who's just returning to cycling after a not-so-minor car accident 10 years ago in which I broke my back. As a rule, I always wear a helmet and gloves while riding. Now that that's out of the way, there are several factors that must be proven in an injury lawsuit: Negligence (someone did something illegal or which a "reasonable" person would consider improper under the circumstances) Failure to wear a helmet CAN be considered negligence, but not necessarily relevant; Damages (you must show that you were injured as a result of someone else's negligence); and (VERY important) PROXIMATE CAUSE (to what extent did the person's negligence contribute to your injury). If you cross an intersection against the light and a car enters the intersection on a green and knocks you into next week, YOU are the negligent party - you get sued. If you cross that intersection on green and a car blows the light, the driver is negligent. Whether you're wearing a helmet or not is irrelevant. However, if you're not wearing one and suffer a head injury, your lack of a helmet may be used to reduce the settlement amount because you bear some responsibility. In any case, wear the helmet. If you're injured the law won't help you.

Debt Mediation is bullshit. The courts are forcing you into mediation. What happen to going to fighting against the debt in court. If you do t agree in mediation the judge will get involve and make you pay anyway. So you go through all of this st😅using Pro Se to prepare for trail and your force to pay debt collector. I need an attorney to help me. DFAS claims to not be able to understand the language in my divorce agreement but it clearly states that I’m entitled to a Sims portion of my former spouse’s military pension and his other retirement benefits. I can’t find any one to help me with this. Even the attorney I had representing me when my former husband divorced me, is dragging her feet on this. I’ve been requesting this money from DFAS since 2020 and I know I won’t get back pay. I’m 65 years old and need this money to live off. Can you help me sir?

I found a brain injury after nearly being killed by my doctor. When I informed my current doctor she did testing and verified the injury is very serious and now I'm required to take medication for the rest of my life or I will die. My issue is getting my doctors to look into this and confirm it's the result of what the previous doctor had done! I can't understand why there's such resistance? I've actually got a CT scan of my brain prior to ever meeting the doctor who harmed me so it's easy to see there was no damage.. Now I find out that this medication I'm required to take is the same as the medication I nearly died from and is causing me severe muscle wasting, especially my diaphragm making it hard to breathe, so I'm still going to be killed it's just going to happen more slowly! Unfortunately, I didn't believe I'd be left permanently disabled? I thought I could recover enough to make a living again, I didn't realize how many bodily functions this brain injury affects. The worst of all is that I've found there's some research on repairing this brain injury using stem cells except I lost absolutely everything due to this medically negligent doctor, so I don't have any funds to utilize this new research. I just wanted my cancer surgically removed and go back to my twenty plus year career.. I'd appreciate any feedback on ways to get a doctor to investigate this, like the doctors who malpractice attorneys use?

When I divorced my abusive ex-husband, my son was 10 months old and because I left out of spite, he decided he was not going to be involved in no way, shape or form. Nonetheless, my child is now seven years of age and I am financially well off with the work that I do, but because he is not involved, I decided to put his behind on child support three months ago, and he stop making payments and in the county that I live in which by the way, is number one in the nation for child collection services. They’ve already requested suspension of his drivers license and they’re going after him without me even having to do anything I told him I don’t need child support if he gets involved with the kid but he just has a bunch of excuses so there you have it
I was hospitalized, was given medicine for #2, had to use toilet, on my wat to toilet i fainted fell and hurt my knee, was not given any treatment even upon telling the doctors and nurses, was discharged from the hospital. 2 weeks later my knee started to hurt after moving around at home, to the point i had to go ER for swelling and pain, can i take legal action against the hospital?
Greetings to all veterans, For me it is incredible that this case was created for those of us who received damages from 3M and that, those results were supported to be to compensate the veterans. How is it possible that now that the case is won, the lawyers are the ones benefiting from the permanent damages that we the veterans received. In what way we could unite ourselves and let us be heard on this nation? I think that together we could let everyone now how unfair this process has been. The lawyers were never and are not the victims here. They were not the ones suffering permanent damages. We, the veterans are!
