I remember this tune came and went too quickly, then had a resurgence sometime in the 90s that made me wonder if I was crazy. Was it a new song? Why did I remember hearing it years prior? Was it the same song? Was I cracking up?
Great song! Great performance. Fantastic studio production! It’s almost depressing to know that a song this good did not get the recognition. It deserved. I wonder what Mr. Dixon would say about that.
There are 3 kinds of people! Those fortunates who've heard Willie ply his magic: The poor bastards who ain't: & Politicians who don't deserve to!🎸🎸 🍒 BloodRed.🍒
My tests show that an equal amount of sheep wool and cotton with metal works well. There is a reason that the Hebrew Priests wore a mixed combination of sheep wool and cotton and the regular people were not allowed to. Just a cotton/wool garment or sleep with a wool & cotton blanket with metal on the body also works a lot. A 3 ounce silver neckless is good and the more wool/cotton and metal, the better it works. Sheep Wool is South-Polarity and Cotton is North-Polarity and we need both of them. Wool and Cotton pull this Magnetism from the Eithers. Cashmere wool is Neutral and Alpaca wool is North-Polarity, so be careful what kind of wool you use. Metals, I use copper, silver, iron and even tin. Robert
Wonder if he ever thinks about why U2 went on to massive commercial success and 77s didn't, signed as they were briefly to the same record label. Both had enormous talent, both original, creative - even a shared faith.
“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.” 1 John 2:15-17
First bought Undone on a trip to California in 1986 (I think) and felt I was at the apex of cool. We walked into a cool record store in the back corner of a strip mall. The jangle guitar was reminiscent of the Smiths without Morrissey's ego and preachy judgement. Mania gave me hope they would be around for years but it wasn't meant to be. And the Smiths could take a lesson on how to preach with out being preachy with Shame. Melody is easily their most approachable song and has all the elements that make them great. I have seen comparisons to the Beatles, I think I would have to agree too bad they never found a foothold except for a lucky few of us.
