Hi there, that is a really nice staff, but I have just one little concern, if it is going to be used to fight with at larp, I don't think bamboo for the core would be such a good idea as it could snap and cause unintended injury! Perhaps try a fiberglass or carbon fiber rod as the core. I believe they're fairly low priced, and available online in most places! Once again, a lovely lob, hope this helps, Cheers! 😃

I was wondering about the bamboo. I know it is flexible but eventually it would dry out and become brittle and possibly leave a sharp exposed bit after snapping.

I am blown away that I'm just now seeing this channel! Loved the tutorial and also the little skit at the end with the Druid and the Woodsman! Much love from my channel to yours! I'd love to give a shout-out when I do my next video if you're okay with that?

I liked your video mate but you shouldn't make assumptions, flint isn't always as abundant as you said, I can't find it 'in my garden' as I live in Australia and flint is very rare here. I would also say most 'back in the day' didn't use char cloth but rather natural tinders like amadou, chaga and charred punk wood. Again amadou and chaga don't occur here in Australia.
