Grandissima performance da grande tenore quale è, voce potente e gentile dal timbro luminoso e caldo. Il suo canto comunica grande passione ed intensità emotiva ,l'esecuzione è naturale e fluida. Grazie per le emozioni che questa voce ci regala

I'm so glad this cast gets love now. I remember reading the reviews when it opened and everyone just eviscerated it. I think it was still too soon after the original then. No one was prepared to accept anything but sheer spectacle.

Thanks. I think I like the reconstructions of the original choreography better than Ashton's; but his version is growing on me. I always loved Julie Kent and Ethan Stiefel together. I love the music to Sylvia, and it's a good story line. I think it would be done a LOT more often if it didn't have the scenic expense of having to do the Diana-Endymion sequence. I like it better when Sylvia and Eros don't have to arrive by boat; and also when the Orion's Cave sequence is really danced. It's a good ballet that I'd like to see done more often.

A strange video mainly dominated by Norman. Lynn Seymour, although living in a home full of memories, did not come across quite as one would anticipate. Having followed the history of 'The Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo'. The artiste's there that began in the infant years of the company, from Markova/Dolin, remained quite close and either performed character roles into their 80s and 90s, like Franklin and Plattoff, or opened ballet schools. Their lives and senior years revolved around ballet as the axis. When asked why? The reply was cheekily "What else would I do?" I wholeheartedly agree regarding making film archive and always have. It is a remarkable tool for younger up and coming generations and can say and show more than any number of descriptions or words ever could. Thank goodness for the brave pirates of the past for capturing their golden gems. Life is to short to worry about copyright (In a private collection). We will all be gone one day, then nobody can sue us, and the footage will be to valuable a legacy to destroy.

I Love It!. Dame Edna she was such an hilarious lady. The way she made faces and encouraged the audience to applaud more and more when she entered the auditorium. Barry Humphries who played the iconic legendary lady, that became a household name was just Brilliant. Such an highly intelligent, quick witted man that had a fantastic sense of humour and sense of fun. Dame Edna wore the most outrageous beautiful gowns., paired with plenty of bling, necklaces, bracelets and rings Also some gorgeous shoes. And I just loved Dame Edna’s purple hair. Especially when she told the audience she was born with it!. A fantastic creation of the late Barry Humphries that will go down in history. Dame Edna was as she put it our late Queens right hand woman. She will be sorely missed. It was a real treat to watch her on tv every Saturday. And all the audiences with Dame Edna and Dame Edna’s Spa treatment . She interviewed some superb guests and a lot of them found it so hard to keep a straight face as she was so funny!.

There is a magnificent DVD version of this ballet with the Royal Ballet. In fact I own a copy. It is memorably danced by Roberto Bolle and Darcey Bussell. Why is no mention made here of the stupendous recording of this important ballet classic on disc?
