Cantus is a women’s choir who since 1986 has had a goal to deliver vocal music on a high level to the audience. The choir consists of 30 skilled amateur singers who, along with conductor Tove Ramlo-Ystad, constantly works to evolve themselves and the music.
Cantus has won merits all around the world, such as winning the class of Female Chamber Choir during the World Choir games in 2018, and contributing to Disney’s Frozen movies.
Why don't they sing the words? This is an adaption of the original. The original has English words!
Thank you for sharing this beautiful music! I knew there was something heavenly about the intro of the Frozen music. I just couldn't put my finger on it... <3 But now I understand. Thank you. God bless!
I love how many people are talking about Frozen bringing them here. I actually learned that this was an appropriation from the Sami people, and the original movie appropriated their culture, having zero mention to their culture, and zero consult with the Sami people about how to appropriately portray them in their movie. But they made it up to them in Frozen 2 when they directly consulted them and even had a contract drawn up with the transnational Sami Council. I found all this out because I was curious if Margu in Klaus was actually speaking their language. Turns out yes she is.

Too bad PC Disney decided to do an alternate arraignment to this song for Frozen. When it was first released it had this track and then they change it.
2:23 is an accurate representation of what an Alto I/Soprano II sections SHOULD sound like. I've known this Cantus for years now and this performance still to this day gives me goosebumps on my goosebumps.
I heard the USA debut of this song in December 2016, when it was performed by the Bella Voce choir of the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN. My 84-y/o dad was with me. My daughter was singing that evening. Dad and I agreed afterward that we really loved this song. Dad died this past January and his inurnment and Celebration of Life will be held this coming Saturday. I have decided to play some music at the cemetery (from my car stereo) - the Allegretto from Beethoven's 7th Symphony, and this.
