Jesus Christ! You didn’t even use a heat gun to melt them in there and also you didn’t ride with them in to see if they hold up and you said you would tell us afterwards where to get them. You said at first you can’t tell us where you got them then before applying them you said you would tell us where you get them.
Someday I will be able to buy this, even when I was still young I wanted to be a motocross rider but we don't have money to buy because I am just poor. I hope someone will help me to buy something like this.
Hold on the clutch when your off the gas down shift in them corners you wanna stay in the high Rpm’s on 2 strokes i love 2 strokes but man a 4 stroke is nice you can throw it in 2 3 gear and not have to shift at all around the track haha
@@TheJoeml85 ahh.. free wheel it in there whilst down shifting. I saw that clip of that guy doing it in supercross this year. Good stuff. Maybe I’ll mess with that lol
@@colinchilds yeah just practice it and then you will notice a big difference also like you said jetting a bike will make it run alot better we had my 2 strokes jetted so good I’d never have to change plugs at all
I really dont get buying an old shitty japanese bike just because whennyou can buy a brand new chisese bike.for the same price or less... Your putting all rhat workninto it anyway. Make it what you actually want instead just trying to get it to work 😂
That “old shitty Japanese bike” Willa at longer than your whole generation, working on vehicles is fun, why the hell would you buy a new one for 5-8k when you can fix an older one
Peace and love brother, sounds like you need it. Never heard of a Chinese bike, but luckily this one already ran pretty good. We like Japanese makes because of the availability of parts and ease with the Keihin carburetors. This was a 2-stroke motocross bike... something that was required for competition and what we initially planned to use it for. Anything 99' to current year Yamaha 2 strokes, pretty much run and operate the same. Plus what he said.... its fun to work on. This one was rebuilt and sold for a profit since the price was pretty good. Simple carb clean, new plastics, new rear wheel. Done
Nice video man 👍 I’m getting my new 24 YZ Yamaha two 50/50 anniversary edition so I’ll probably be doing some regular maintenance myself always good to see some detailed videos out there 👌
35 year old, off the bike for 14 years, back on for 9 months and loving it! Do it you won't regret been back. It's the only thing that keeps me going these days
Thank you for sharing. I have a 2023 KX450 and the rear brake is ultimately touchy with a on/off feel and it sucks bc I’m locking up into turns instead of dragging. I need smoother to be faster. I had to cut 3 threads off the bottom of rear brake cylinder rod just to get the brake pedal to get lower so if I’m resting my foot over pedal it won’t apply or stop the rear tire as easily. Thanks for your info bc I’m considering buying this aftermarket part. I’m also going with a smaller kx250 rear rotor (240mm vs250mm). Vital MX said that would help.
wow he almost saved it. idk if you know who Chad Boyd is, old local pro... one of the most bad ass (and nervous) times I ever had was him and I going side by side through the pit tabletop section there around 2007. I was never like super amazing, I was fast in the fast places but slow in the slow places lol, never more than like 60% of the way in the pack of B class. I was a fat kid too tho so theres that lmao
holy shit Dave still got the track goin huh??? I used to come out here about every weekend if the sunday race wasn't having a practice on saturday..... we'd have friday night arenacross... hit up the super 8 in greensburg, get a vocelli pizza, get a saturday creekside practice and then sunday wherever the mx was.
@@marketsmoto3180 yep. That was the main one out in westmoreland county. If you live anywhere out this way, the closest track would be 1 or 2 hours away at least
