When trimming weight with a water procurement kit I like to put a Sawyer squeeze and its bladder inside a Nalgene. If I want an option to boil in as a backup I use a tall titanium nesting cup.
Baby rattle snakes are more dangerous than adults becuase they dont have good control of thdir venom gland. Where an adult may only leak a small amount as a deterent to attack a young rattle snake will empty their glands in fear which could by 5 times the lethal dose. Edit (clarity): this is common amongst most venomous snakes not claiming this was a rattler (i cant tell exactly what that snake is, which i think that is blitz' point.)
That’s correct. In wilderness first responder we were taught that 35-50% of bites from the crotalid pit viper family (rattlesnakes) are “dry bites” meaning they bite but don’t inject venom to keep it in reserve for food.
I've only seen his bow bugout bag. I never trust a man who recomends take down arrows. Good way to put a shaft through your hand, or just not have any arrows
Don't forget guys those large strong garbage bags can be used for sleeping in an emergency and also wading across small rivers or ponds keeping your feet dry no need in getting the feet wet if it's not necessary.
Do a lot of small things to make a big thing something I would change about my dad’s bug out bag is that he has his holster for his 9 mm handgun on the bag which it would be smarter to put it on your belt because you can access it faster and it will take away weight from the bag . Also, I suggest getting even a fake armored vest just for the storage on your chest for things like ammunition so you can have more space for other things in your bag. Also wear cargo pants for all the little pockets.
CP is fake, gives fake advice, claims he is absolutely neutral, but he absolutely is not. He seeks to whomever he thinks will buy the most. Don't buy from him, don't give him your money.
If you're going to attach stuff to the outside of your pack ideally it should really only be something like a tourniquet pouch with a tourniquet inside or some sort of med or trauma kit with a tear away feature so that way you can quickly access it in an emergency. And as for morale patches at the absolute most you want to have something like a Red Cross patch that you can have say on the outermost section of your pack where your first aid supplies might be so that if you have to send someone to get it that way they'll know where to look. Otherwise if you want to have a patch or two on your pack just for fun at least make sure that they are relatively subdued and aren't going to grab any unnecessary attention.
When picking out a bike, get a front suspension or no suspension, make sure the frame is 100% chromoly (the most durable and rugged material). Get thorn proof tubes get several tire patch kits and (pedros tire levers Very important) Bring every single tool for the bike you have. Get fast rolling tires not Too knobby. Like a schwalabe big Apple. Put bmx handlebars or your mountain bike. Then have a beer.
I really dislike people like you. Why would you think it's ever good to try and teach random people how to kill, especially outwith the discipline of martial arts? Totally irresponsible and there's zero need for this. When you lie in bed tonight think about how many idiots you just told how to kill someone quickly. Idiot.
For hunting I'd go w/ ExoMtnGear packs...they are designed for hunters and perfect tall sized vs this pack which is good to go but more so tactical in design and purpose
@@hitmanhartman1394 check ebay for new used stock...I got my Mystery ranch for cheap and basically in new shape. You might be able to find the older ones the K2 3200 for cheap
UK mentioned! As such, here's some very much not legal advice from a random anime avatar guy on the interweb. And yeah, I'm commenting on a two year old video with stuff that should be common knowledge to anyone in the UK, but it might keep one guy looking out for his own safety out of trouble Fixed blades like the one shown in public are basically a no-go unless you have a specific use for them(e.g. it's a plumber's knife and you're on the way to a job), and folding blades have to be non-locking and less than three inches. So absolutely do carry one, but don't count on it helping you in a self defence situation, because either the other guy doesn't have a knife and you look like a murderer(which is always the problem with a successful knife defence), or he has a machete... best of luck to ya. Best option I've found is to develop a knee injury and a weight problem so you can carry a substantial cane, which you can use for "display" and blocking to show you went through steps of escalation to find the minimum necessary force. Though at home, feel free to engage the rapscallion with sword and buckler, because the home is special
Stop watching videos and go spend time actually living in the wilds. Learn to minimize your need for ammunition, by --increasing situational awareness --learning to live stealthily --learning to hunt effectively, especially with primitive weapons --be a scarce and hard target Reduce the need for food, by maximizing the use of wild food sources. Reduce the need for cash by wildcrafting as much as possible. Learn to scrounge and re-purpose. Mend your clothing. Remember that your "bug-out" kit is simply a crutch to help you adapt to nature. It buys some time. Use it up, wear it out, make it do, and do without. Adapt.
Based on the look of your bag, I must assume you've looked into Mystery Ranch because the similarities are vast. If I'm correct, why did you choose not to go with Mystery Ranch?
funny you mention...I'm running a Mystery Ranch Mountain ruck currently. Incredible bag, pros and cons as compared to the ExoMtn 3200. I like the tall size of the Exo for storing a rifle on the side. w/ the new ruck I have to break down my AR, not a big deal but something to consider. check out the Shorts, I've done a few bits on it and will be having a full length video on the pack and contents in Sept. ru-vid.comVc7k5QC8wdQ
He has never done a bushcraft or field video. His entire channel is click bait fear mongering with advice he read and took from others without any experience
I have the knipex bolt cutter, but I suggest you also add an insulated diagonal cutter. So you can also cut wires that are electrified. With the knipex or the multitool you can't cut electrified wires.
Thankfully i'm not on this list lol also in a magazine(i think it is a survival or prepping mag) i have with survival tips it says you can drink your urine i wouldn't
I met a dude who turned out to actually be a major compulsive liar about his "military service." He turned out to have actually heen fresh out of prison, qnd also a rapist pedophile. So yeah. Stay sharp. Godda be sure to get a good read on people as well as reading when they are trying to prevent you from getting a read on them. I learned the hard way. Me and this dude were chill until I found out all this sh*t about him.
I am the real deal, but I just don't have time for all the self-promotion and making and editing videos needed to get my name out there. As a lifelong prepper I have a vast array of skills from primitive survival to the latest in tools and technology. Even at my age I am currently building in my wilderness knowledge by taking the states Master Gardener Program. After that I plan to enroll in the states Master Naturalist Program. That should keep me real busy right up to the SHTF.
