I bought Monroe shock absorbers for my Renault Laguna vehicle. 2 front and 2 rear front shafts were short. The rear shock absorbers could not flex at all. The car was like a pile. 4 shock absorbers were garbage. I am writing from Turkey.

@@MonroeSuspensionEU I will send you information and documents, but I am not using the shock absorbers at the moment. I gave the shock absorbers to a scrap dealer. Unfortunately, nearly 3 years have passed. Where should I send the documents?

my local supplier sold me some of these everything looks perfect for the mk2 focus (uk) until you try fitting the dust cover the black piece of plastic on these are too small to grip and secure the cover i removed it and tried the oem grey plastic cap with grooves on to fit the cover securely and the actual strut is far too thin, unfortunately i am on my way back to my suppliers in the next 30 mins to replace both with cheaper ones, all my years working on cars i have never had this issue, i even had a second opinion from a 50 year veteran mechanic to double check these and he agreed there is no way you can get these to fit without buying a smaller dust cover which it seems no one in the UK sells.

Sadly all the signs shown are when its too late and that wear all the other suspension parts. This can work for people who drive from home to store and back. But for those on the streets driving 5 days a week, the best indicator is when u start driving slower and watch out for bad cracks on the road u know your shocks are worn.right now i drive slow just for the ride to be comfortable but the car has non of the symptoms above and you will feel shocks more infront because of engine weight if its an FR or FF car.Dont go by all those things even car mechanic will not know ,the driver is the one who feels
Edit after waiting for 3 month finally got new shocks the old one despite noy leaking had the shock stopper disintegrated ,the top mount compressed by 3/4 of an inch driver side and 1/4 of an inch other side ,aftee changing new the front of the rose up by 2 inches.ordered rear now for a toyota belta 1.0 17 year old with 95 000 km .Got toyota Kyb ones from toyota themselvea
Awesome! Thanks for the video. Now I know that I can drive with worn shocks just without extreme driving and everything is good. But I have extreme driving skills and special forces driving skills. And been in situations when you go 160mps on an icy road and speeding the truck and you car drifts left or right and you con not break. You have to know how to steer and what to do. But the video with the tilt of the car on dry road is way over exaggerated. So if you dont have enough money on good upgrade, just ride your worn shock and drive like an advanced retard lol. Anyways it make no difference in traffic jams and low speed as long as you hold the distance and break earlier and drive calmly.
I have a 2012 ford focus with front struts and sway bar links that are 1.5 years old and i just put in new lower control arms...I thought the new control arms would fix my slight vibration and inside tread cupping, but it has not..Then I have noticed that I here clunking which i think is from the strut mount. i do remember hitting a bad pot hole months ago and wondering if that destroyed the bearing..However, after jacking the car up and pulling on the wheel and forcing it up with a pry bar under the tire, everything seems tight and I can not reproduce the clunk. Only here it when hitting holes in the road. Any advice? Hate to do all the work to take the strut out and still not be able to tell if its bad.

If I never replaced my worn out struts and shocks on driving…would it cause eventually for breakdown of the shocks struts in the car? Or is it just going to be a very uncomfortable unsmooth driving all the time?
@Javez333 if the shock fails everything else will act like a crutch for it, ball joints and tires mostly. also, I don't think you'd like the feeling of the car always wanting to roll over and smashing the bottom side.
Tyers. Wow so that's how we spell tires now . I bet the person at Monroe probably makes quite a bit of money to make videos for them and can't even properly spell four letter words or spell check their work. Seems about right in today's society. 👍
