Any kine fun stuff for Hawaiʻi people - a game show (filmed monthly at International Market Place), podcast with mostly kamaʻaina guests including big names (like Kelly Hu and Tia Carrere) and regular folks doing some pretty cool stuff. You'll also find stories from small kid time, interviews with small business owners and Hawaiʻi nonprofit execs, food reviews and some other random stuff.

Sup Nolan! While you are cooking, I am folding my laundry. Making me hungry! I can relate to living multiple outcomes staring at an email then being exhausted with nothing to show for it after precious time wasted. My draft box is full of hundreds of started emails but never sent! Would love to punch a hole through my monitor...but gotta be self controlled. We gotta hit mitts soon!
Mahalo Nolan for presenting this. Mahalo to Kimo for setting it down. I have always felt that Hokule'a was one of the most important contributions to world history. When she sailed under the Golden Gate Bridge it was just amazing. My kupuna hula sisters went and threw flowers off the bridge (illegal, of course). The tall ships were out in full sail and many dancers were on platforms on outriggers dancing as she came through the Gate. Thousands of Polynesians were out to welcome her. It was outstanding. I've also seen her sailing up and down the Kona coast during the reuniting of the two chiefdoms at Pu'ukohala Heiau. Seeing those red ctabclaw sails against the ocean and the coastline was extremely moving. The Malama Honua was such a life changing voyage for peace and caring I was surprised there was so little written about it. But for the maritime community it was inspirational. Scandinavians and Canadan Natives started building cones and took new voyages to trace their ancestors maritime travels. I hope to read this very soon. Oakland CA 2023
Wow this is so beautiful, thank you for sharing this 🥰. What incredible experiences and I just love that you were able to connect to these wonderful memories thru Kimo's hangout with us ❤️
"Grüße aus Berlin", is German for "Greetings from Berlin". Doners was invented by the Turkish that were living in Berlin, 1971. Think of the Doner as the German's McD's, they are everywhere!
Kumu Patrick is a wonderful member of San Francisco's dance community. He has widened the acceptable genres of hula and this is controversial in the BayArea. He maintains a great presence for Hawaiians and hula. I have known some of his dancers since they were children. People dance with Patrick for decades and his shows are awesome. He keeps the traditional dances traditional. Love you, Patrick!
