@@basementlyle It's weird. I use a Dirty boost, into the Glitchwave, that is set to, dry maxed, fizz at 2:00ish, and frequency is tuned to the key I want to play in, like a ring mod. I finish the chain with a pretty wet Analog delay. The constant noise is still present, but the single notes played sound awesome, some almost swirl like a phaser.
Hmm my reply didn't seem to save. I feel like you could make wild stuff with Roger That in your rig. It's such a weirdo but also semi practical? I'm digging it so far for sure. 😀
I'd also love to see a full demo! I have this pedal and love it but there's not much out there demo wise. If you can do the Pulse effect, that'd be amazing since nobody has done it, even the 3 Degrees Audio demo skips that effect. Cheers for the vid, love that you did it stereo. Nice work!
@@JayKayCrookedMysteryJazz before I hit record I was just hitting a note on my keyboard and letting the tail crumble away then hitting the note again. I had a big dumb grin on my face. 😅
Thanks! Miss you too. 🥰I'm about ready to get back at it now (I had a month off). A Roger That just arrived today and a Time Shadows in inbound as well.
Hey thanks! You really can''t go wrong with anything DBA. Germanium Filter is probably the more reasonable of the two (so it's the one I use more) but Evil Filter is just wild and it sounds phenomenal on bass and lead types of things. 😀
As the video reached the halfway mark, I thought to myself, this is when things tend to get noisey. Then the notes got lower, leading into ""time for double melting ", double melting my face off. This piece was excellent as usual. Hope you are enjoying your break.
Haha you've got me figured out! I really only have one move lol. Partly it's because it was a Slowly Melting that blew up my brain in the first place and launched this whole persona/channel. And the move is exactly as you said. Go along, then get things noisey. Thanks for your continued support and yes I am enjoying my break. 😀
@@boringgearreviews thanks so much man! I love all the pedals on here but am still struggling with cohesiveness and redundancy at the same time. 😅 that double melt is the reason I could send you one of my other melts if you wanted. 😎
That is truly a banquet, thanks again for sharing. Have some time up and out of the basement brother, we all have your back catalog and iterations to indulge vicariously…. I’m still finding stuff you put up last year, now relevant to my paths and playing ❤
That was gorgeous! Love the mix of polished and gnarly textures. Really cool sounding chain. Looking forward to hearing more when you get back to it! Always good to take a step back once in a while.
@@dinopolesesharkosaur oh that sounds like a bunch of good possibilities. I’ve been eyeing the patchulator pro as well. At the moment the mono chains are running separately from the stereo chain. I’m using 6 outputs from my interface and 4 inputs as well as an analog heat for the inputs depending on what I’m doing. This way I can record it all separately and mix to taste. Somewhere in there is a Bastl Bestie too for a sort of dirtier mix of some of my synths. Honestly it would be cool to have a proper fully modular setup but I’m too disorganized and indecisive to put that together. 😬🥰
@@translucentequivalent9754 haha Loyal Lyle. Love it! 🥰 I’m still figuring out the stereo dirt thing despite it being a fixation for years. At the moment, the dirt pedals in my stereo chain are MTLASM Too Positive, DBA Rooms (it’s basically an overdrive lol) Dirge Double Expression Melt, OTO Boum. 😬😁
Thanks a million man! I appreciate you crediting me with having timing lol. Too Positive is such a slept-on pedal. I consistently love it and it’s so darn cheap. 🥰
Thanks so much! You've got it. I love using warm sounding soft-synths because they sound nice with basically everything. Maybe skip the next video though because it's going full Mad Max😅
@basementlyle lmao nah brother, I'll watch it all! Dirt & grime can always be molded, folded, filtered & swashed in feedback to butter it up, if need be. Keep it coming - I'm anti-fidelity 🧪📼
@@goonfish ok awesome! We are on the same page. My good friend just gave me a custom Double Slowly Melting with expression by Dirge and it is unreal! I'm going to run it with DBA Rooms and OTO Boum for the filtering. 😄
