Yes! Pwede tayo magjoin sa mga events nila as it's inclusive naman for everyone! 🙌 Although there are specific events na for UPD students only kasi baka hindi makarelate much ang mga UPOU students sa kanila since iba ang system namin versus other UP Campuses. Otherwise, events will post details naman if it is for every UP student or for campus lang. 😊 Yes! There will be a welcoming ceremony for the upcoming freshies (hosted by the UPOU USC - University Student Council) as far as I've heard! I see you are very interested sa UPOU, no worries! I'll try to answer your queries with the knowledge that I know! 😉 1) Last academic year, we had a latin honor graduate from UPOU! Sadly, I'm not sure about the grades part but it does have requirements para maconsider ka sa latin honors. 👨🎓 2) Yes there is! 📜 Mostly it is an online certificate since mosly online zoom meetings/events here sa UPOU. May mga short-term courses that you can apply which can get your e-certificates after completion. 3) Yes, pwede! 👍 There are orgs in UPD that accept OU or other UP students, just be sure to ask the orgs if pwede magjoin para all-goods at informed din sila!
Hello Mikmik! Since UPOU is an online-based school, the essential needs for the students studying here are: 📱 Gadgets that they will need for online learning (computer/laptop/cellphone/tablet) and 📶 A stable wifi connection to browse the internet and the MyPortal website (our "school"). Physical school supplies such as notebooks and books aren't needed but can still be used to enhance the learning experience here. 😊
Hello again! Sa UPOU, we are mostly "asynchronous" class meaning we study at our own phase, at our own time! We don't have a class schedule na typical for F2F universities. The professors will give the modules and it's really up to us kung kelan tayo mag-aaral. Just be wary of the deadlines ng mga activities! So that means we can study everyday on weekdays, or weekends, anytime! 😄

Hello again! UgAT is the Undergraduate Admission Test for upcoming freshies that want to study here sa UPOU. I didn't have the chance to take this exam since di kami inabot noon (I was Batch 2022) pero what I heard from a friend who took this exam, it's more on the capabilities of yourself regarding sa kakayahan niyo sa online learning. Hi! Here sa UPOU, there aren't many "synchronous sessions" (zoom, google meetings) and it's more on asynchronous where we study at our own phase at our own time! (and we, ourselves, are the "teachers" of our own studies)... 😅 But for me personally, I do my acads 3-5 times a week just for me to catch up on the weekly lessons and assignments per subject! I hope this answers your question!
Hello po! As stated in the OAS of UPOU (verbatim) link: our.upou.edu.ph/terms-agreement-oas 🌻 "UPOU does not allow any concurrent enrollment in two or more degree programs. Applicant must submit an honorable dismissal from the current University should s/he wish to continue studying at UPOU. Furthermore, once admitted and enrolled at UPOU, you are not allowed to enroll in any other degree program in another university or in any other UP constituent university. Should you wish to enroll in a degree program in another university while you are a student at UPOU, secure a University clearance and request an honorable dismissal." Hello Jean! If you are asking about SY 2024-2025, in the UPU website, the first trimester classes start at September 23, 2024. You can navigate the UPOU website for more details about this! registrar.upou.edu.ph/the-academic-calendar/ 🌻 (Click on the "Academic Calendar AY 2024-2025" ---> "Trimester"). For your second question, in my Batch (2022), we didn't take exams and just passed our requirements. Based on those who took the exam (the batch that came after me), they only took an online exam in their homes lang rin. No need to go to UPOU HQ for that kasi sa UPOU, we are online students so we must maximize our online presence. 😁 I hope this helps!

Hi! Having UPOU ID has it benefits such as discounts for transportation (LRT, MRT) and getting access to UP Libraries campus-wide! 😊 Although it might be necessary to get an updated sticker per term (through UPOU HQ or delivery) para maging viable ung benefits niya. I hope this helps!
