Fair enough - there’s a right time and wrong time for updates for sure. The new Roar effect is used, and the new (and improved) relative mode that modulation (envelope follower, LFO etc) works with devices (finally). There would be no other way to build this without the new modulation, and roar is a pretty nice paring with drums in general.
Ah ok. Thanks for the quick reply. I did try the demo version of 12 and the only thing I really liked was Roar, but don't think that Roar alone is reason to pay for the upgrade to 12 Suite. Anyway..I guess that's the end of my Forever plan until I do upgrade to 12 (which I'm sure I won't do). Just want to say thanks for all the great racks and instruments you've released and there's enough available for Ableton 11 to keep me busy.@@subsocials
@@andrewcampbell8938 We’ve only done 3 packs for Ableton 12, to commemorate the release really. Next week we’re flipping back to Ableton 11 for a while longer. Plenty more V11 to come still.
Just got these installed and bumping….WTF you all are freaks. Soooo good and so nice to have these and see all the parameters vs the init;). Meld is a monster. Keep it poppin 🕺😎🖤🎤
Seems like a secret sauce for everyone trying to get this lush warm analogue soft clipping distortion mojo only found in the highest grade of mixing desks. 10/10, immediately set as default fx chain for every channel.
incredibly informative tutorial! finally a no nonsense, straight to the point ableton creator! I really like how you included soothe to help tame the harsher frequencies that are brought out by the distortion.
Truth be told, we are pretty utility when it comes to patch demos. Getting through 256 sounds is tough. We’re just like, “Hey! Here are the sounds, do what you like with them.”
@@subsocialsTotally get that. Believe me, your hard work showed. I will definitely be getting this! Reminds me of the sounds I achieved with my short lived time with a Nord Lead 4.
Lol, 😂 you may not know, but they make sick sound packs, but also presets that are fully tweak-able in native Ableton instruments…really one of the best digs you will find for Live
The richness on each note 🤤 So, for now on will be not possible to use Subsocial stuff unless I update ableton, right? Even if is stuff that it has in live 11? Sorry any english mistakes, no google translate was used.
For the time being anything that’s Ableton 12 specific will be for Ableton 12, but if it’s not needed we will release stuff that works in 11 and 12. At some point we will switch to 12 only, but not yet!
Good gosh you've taken the slide whistle to places it's never been before. Your macro preset names crack me up. Here's to a new era of magic flute trap down low. And for all that, I salute you! 🎶🫡
Broken record but can't wait to try incorporating some of these sound presets. One thing I love is your guys' naming, as someone who hates coming up with names and always goes with "Pad1", "Pad 2" for tracks or "Dry/Wet" for my macros. Something like Necromancer just cries out to be used.
Nice, look forward to playing with this. One suggestion - maybe put a "If you're already a Forever plan member, go here" link to the downloads page. It was kind of tripping me out that even after logging in it was giving me the price/paypal buttons.
Awesome! Hope you’re enjoying this one. Forever members can always head to subsocials.com/downloads for all our releases. There’s also a link to downloads on our website’s main menu under “forever” ✌️
