Seeing this segment of the waterway has brought back many fond memories from the first day of my own trip. It was also interesting to learn a bit about the boat that you used for the journey. Too bad that the Kirkfield Lift Lock wasn't operating as normal during your visit. I feel honoured to have provided some inspiration for this trip! Happy paddling! PS the bird you saw with the fish in its mouth was a cormorant.
Good aero plane the Pawnee. The 235 h.p. version of course can carry a load. The 0320 and 0360 Lycoming versions worked well as a glider tug. The Pawnee is good for 25kts cross wind and in general a very low maintenance aircraft with terrific visibility. Very nice aircraft for agriculture spraying.
Problem with this method in the BBQ whether one uses a steel or stone is that there is not enough top heat to properly brown the top pizza and crust. Therefore, the cook is usually uneven.
I have not really noticed an uneven cooking, although when I look at other peoples pizza it seems like some want a crust charred on top. I don’t like top charring. I want a just baked, light crust.
Randall Scott We knew Billy as a neighbour, his dogs in the bush close to our house in Sault Ste Marie. When we moved to Sudbury, Billy came to raise funds through the school system. He would fund raise funds all day, then train and exercise the dogs at night. I went out with him one night. He took half the dogs out for a twenty km run, then the other half for another 20 km. That was from midnight to 4 a.m. Afterwards, feed the dogs and then go home. We offered Billy hamburgers one day, but he wanted the burger mostly raw, because on the trail he did not have time to cook. Billy said there was no point in training for anything unless you will actually put that training to use.
