Hi, there! I’m Allison, and I’m the Pampered Wife. I got interested in clean beauty after my mother's oncologist gave her a list of ingredients to avoid that were found in both skincare and makeup. Over the past decade, I've tried a lot of different brands and products. Much to my surprise, I love playing with makeup and skincare! Seeing how much I love researching, trying out, and talking about everything clean beauty, my husband encouraged me to start this channel. I'm so glad to share some of my thoughts and experiences about clean, nontoxic, and safe beauty products so that, hopefully, you don't have to buy as much of this stuff as I have!

I would love to see more Well People reviews now that Elf has purchased them and reformulated. I noticed that they don’t have organic ingredients anymore and wonder if the quality is still there across the board. A full face of all the new post-Elf-buyout products would be welcome. I can’t find new Well People reviews. Everything on RU-vid is from 5 years ago. Ouch!
While your entire face looks nice; colors are symetrical for your cheeks, I still think your skin looked better without the balm or anything else added. The citrus oils would definitely be an irritation for me; have you compared this Jones line to Boom Stick products?
I’m day 4 out from bbl and I can’t agree with you more about the swelling! I’m still pretty swollen. I’m reluctant to do the second and third and when you mentioned it could swell worse- that really makes me hesitant. It’s too early to tell results and the pain during the procedure was more than I thought. Your video made me feel so much better knowing I’m not the only one! Thank you
I used exclusively their sunscreen for as many years as I can remember , and nothing else except clean skin , and I got skin cancer on my face . Sadly , they do have great ingredients , EXCEPT they include a very dangerous preservative which is linked to cancer , Polyaminopropyl Biguanide . This preservative is banned in Europe and Japan. Having it in cosmetics designed for the face and for use in the sun is like playing Russian roulette for skin cancer. I learned this firsthand .
For the eyeliner you have to set it with an eyeshadow and I mean set it like your life depends on it. 😂I have SUPER oily lids and I’ve been able to have those eyeliners stay all day after a long 10 hour work shift.

Regarding crazy busy, life always seems that way doesn't it ? I think the unexpected things emphasize that. My husband fell, compressor on fridge/freezer going down and dimmer switch in dinning room sparked and smoked 🤪
Great video. I like your descriptions of the products. Like you, the Merit lipsticks are the only lipsticks I can wear and usually only wear lip glosses. The Merit blushes (beautiful colors) work well for me since they do not contain mica which excaperates my dry eye.
Hi there! Love your videos! Was wondering if you stopped using the Josh Rosebrook Tinted Nutrient day cream due to its addition of Butyloctyl Salicylate? (Chemical sunscreen booster). It was my HG moisturizer/spf until I found out they used that. So many companies are adding BS and other chemical spf boosters to their mineral spfs. Anyway was just wondering if you avoid that chemical booster or no? Thanks so much!
Hi. Actually, I didn’t know they added that ingredients. I’ll have to look into it. I stopped using it because the texture changed and I didn’t like it anymore. Now I know why! Thank you so much for your comment.

When you have used the Drunk Elephant Happi Scalp scrub, have you ever experienced a burning sensation? i have....it seems to be on the area of my scalp that I scratched that had a "dry skin bump". The stinging/burning sensation lasts for less than 60 seconds. After washing it out of my hair, all of my dry skin areas seem to be "cured"!!! It is because of your videos that I learned about this product. I appreciate you taking the time to communicate to your audience and share your experience with these products with such enthusiasm!
Thank you so much! No, I’ve never experienced a burning sensation, but I would not put it on raw skin. It does have chemical and physical exfoliants as part of the formula and that could really irritate the skin if it’s already susceptible.
65 yo with decent but dry skin. I love love love Jones Road WTF and Miracle Balm. BOOM colorstick is a terrific lip balm…am never without one in a pocket.
Thanks for letting us know! I’ve never heard of Boomstick until now. I looked it up and the first ingredient is castor seed oil; looks like a balmy, moisturizing product that would be nice on the lips!

I am 86 and this product works very well for me. My opinion is that you are too young to be trying this product. At your age, I wouldn't use it either. Of course, at your age, I had very nice skin and used very little make up. I don't understand when this product is advertised for over 50, young people are wasting their time and money trying it.

I have that, too! Just haven’t gotten to it yet 🤔. One thing I like about the rms is that it’s a mist, whereas the merit isn’t. How do you like the merit?
@@PamperedWife I like it ! I like the way it feels. It absorbs quickly and doesn't feel heavy or greasy. I'm not sure it is doing anything, but I really do like the way it feel and makes my skin look. 😃
Thank you so much! I’m wearing it again think it looks better today. I’m wearing a different spf underneath and it seems to make a difference. Not to correct you, but the Westman Atelier I showed was the contour. They do have a bronzer, but it comes in a container like a powder product would, and it’s super shimmery.
@@PamperedWife ah yes, you’re right. I actually want to try both the bronzer and the contour, but I was definitely referring to the cream contour. I currently use the Persona multi-stick and it’s a fave of mine.
Love spending time with you! Let us know if you take to the brow serum. I’ve been using the Ilia one and it’s not bad. I wish there was a clear one that is less stiff. Have you tried the FitGlow Lip Serum? That’s my all time fav lip product. I tried the Lisa Eldridge skin tint but I’m not sure about it yet. I think I will like the brow serum: It has really nice hold without feeling crunchy. As for the Fitglow Lip Serum, um, YES, and it's excellent in the sense that there is nothing like it that does what it does, feels like it feels, etc. And the Josie Maran body butters are on my list, too! I've used one of her body creams or butters and loved it. Maybe, but not certainly, they will appear here one day ☺️
I’d love to see a review of the Iris & Romeo concealer, as well as the brand new Saie Slip Tint Concealer (not the older Hydrabeam one). 😊 I’m now intrigued by the Victoria Beckham highlighter! I do like the lid lusters but now need the eyeshadow sticks!
No, I didn’t have any swelling from my treatment which was targeted at specific veins. I think if I had more pigmentation like you showed, I would’ve done the same as you did. It’s a balance, isn’t it? Wanting to grow old gracefully …
Thanks so much for sharing your experience - I’ve been curious about this type of treatment. I had targeted laser on some veins on my face esp around my nose and I was quite pleased. It’s been a year now and I think I’ll go back for an update, she said that was likely to happen but that it wouldn’t come back as bad as it was to begin with. It didn’t hurt much and it cost me $200. My husband went in two weeks ago to have the same treatment and his skin looks great! He’s pleased with the results, too. I’m not sure either of us need this comprehensive as a treatment right now but this was really helpful! Thanks for your candor and the photos, too! ✨

I blew $180.00 on that stuff and it was awful on me! I'm still sick about it. Worst stuff ever! Husband accidentally threw the boxes away so I couldn't get my money back. The only thing that I kept was the fat eyebrow pencil.

It’s been so traumatizing! May you find some comfort and peace through the grief and I’m sure lots of frustration! I’m so sorry. ❤

I am 45 and years ago the Fitglow concealer would dry out my already dry skin. I dont get the hype. Weirdly enough, thier colour corrector sits on my skin better.

Good video Now I'm rethinking why I don't reach for some of my concealers and foundations. Still trying to love the Rituel de Fille foundation. It's good but how come I don't reach for it daily? I do like the Roots mineral foundation though. I keep coming back to that one

I’m glad I’M not the only one! I forgot to mention that while it’s a cream, it’s quite dry. I just don’t understand why people love it. Maybe if I lived in a humid climate, I would have a different experience.

@@PamperedWife I live in a humid climate and still cannot get it to work for me. 🙁 It is very drying, even on my well moisturized skin. Every so often, I try it again, hoping something will change, because I do like the coverage, but am always disappointed.
have you found any nontoxic teeth whitening products? I have to switch back and forth between nontoxic and toxic toothpaste or else my teeth get so yellow. :-(
I have a review on my channel of vaardis where I do go over their teeth, whining products. Right now I’m trying the Coco floss toothpaste, which is whitening.. I’m not sure exactly what the name is. Vaardis has fluoride, the Coco one does not.
have you found anything effective for reducing look of pores? I have a very strange large pore issue considering I have desert dry skin. apparently its from years of wine and smoking, lol.
