Obviously, you didn't hear what we were saying correctly. There isn't a bone in any of our bodies that believes you can do anything to earn your salivation. But the bible is very clear that if there is no evidence there is no salvation. James 2:17-18 -17 - So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.18 But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. James is not saying that works is a way to salvation but should be evidence of your salvation. There is no argument to be had about this subject. I'll let Jesus do the talking. Matthew 7:16-20 - You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. 18 A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.
I've heard it said that with God on your side, you don't need anything else. God can take what you do have, and turn it into exactly what you need, exactly when you need it. David proved that through and through. He only used a sling and ONE smooth stone to defeat Goliath. No armor, no shield, no sword - He had his sling, 5 smooth stones, and most importantly, God on his side. "Then he took his staff in his hand; and he chose for himself five smooth stones from the brook, and put them in a shepherd’s bag, in a pouch which he had, and his sling was in his hand. And he drew near to the Philistine." (1 Samuel 17:40 NKJV)
As I did my research, here is what I found for your tough question on "our salvation will be revealed when Christ returns"- Are we saved immediately, or are we saved when Christ returns? Believers have already received salvation through faith in Christ, experiencing the forgiveness of sins, the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, and a new relationship with God. There is a fuller experience of salvation, including the redemption of our bodies and the complete restoration of all things, which awaits Christ's return. This future aspect of salvation is part of the blessed hope for all believers, as they look forward to the day when their faith will be made sight and they will dwell with the Lord forever. :) Great Job Pastor P , my brother Cody and John-Mark!

I just got it. Its work... we work in a way that is against God... for money. That's the metaphor. The Holy Spirit has been trying and trying to explain this to me & i just got it. We dont wait for God to direct us to do the work he wants us to do... we do what we choose, what pays our bills, but destroys our temples. 😮 we do.
In order for Judas to get what he wanted he betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. This is what led to the crucifixion of Jesus in most people's mind. But the truth of the matter is that the 30 pieces of silver in our life, AKA our sin, is what truly led to the crucifixion of Jesus. Yes, Judas betrayed Him, but it was necessary in order for Christ to give His life up to cleans those who would believe in Him of their sins. The question, what is your 30 pieces of silver, is meant to make you think about the things in your life that are causing you to betray Jesus. Drugs, alcohol, porn, extramarital sex, being a workaholic, the list goes on and on. Judas found more value in the 30 pieces of silver than he did the life of Jesus Christ. @@IHMWTX IT IS NOT THAT I HOLD ANYTHING IN HIGHER VALUE, just trying to obey the laws of the land to survive. Like... paying my bills and keeping myself in food & shelter, reliable transportation & such.... which is why I work. I feel God is telling me not to work in the field I'm educated in & go broke waiting for him to help me to prove my faith. This will further alienate me from the few loved ones I have left & I've already been in isolation for over 6 years. I've never really witnessed someone having to have that much faith before, I don't know how it's done. I've tried everything... all the things & I'm really being tested hard & feel like giving up on hoping anymore. I suspect God is going to strike me down with serious illness & declare I'm retrobate mind if I can't hearken to his work & I'm trying so hard but have yet to get it right. 😥 thanks for listening.

@@IHMWTX I see this change in other people and I am so thrilled but in my life I have prayed for 21 years for this change to happen to someone in my life and I am still waiting. So I get discouraged because the waiting is so hard and I don’t see a difference in their life
@@kristif56 Ok I see what you are saying. I was raised in a God-fearing, household with an amazing Mom and Dad who love God. My parents along with all of their friends and what seems to be like everyone at First Baptist church here in Midland prayed for me to change for 22 years before God finally changed me. Brother Cody who founded this ministry with me is the same story. His parents prayed for over 20 years before God snatched him up and turned him around. One thing I am confident in is this. I am right where God intended me to be at this point in time. And if I wouldn't have gone through what I went through in life I wouldn't have started this ministry. God has a plan. We must trust in that plan if our prayers take a couple hours, or 20 plus years and always remember this scripture. Isaiah 55:8-9 - “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. 9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your way and my thoughts than your thoughts.” I hope this was helpful.
