I believe the issue with fuel may be that filling from an empty tank the diesel froths a lot and takes ages to settle. The only way to get a true comparison on both vehicles is to fill them to the neck…
I have a question? As I'm working on a 300 with one of your conversions that had an additional smart key registered and now smart entry and wireless remotes are not operating, just wondering where the smart key receiver has been relocated to from it's normal position of left rear pillar ?
Majorly disappointed.. I ordered the GXL V8 3 years ago and was updated a few months ago with a new contract that this is the shape I’m getting, yet I ordered the old shape.. As soon as it arrives it’ll be for sale 🤢
Hi just wondering what size rims and tyres are? Do you know the rim offset? Is it still legally compliant with those wheels? I’ve had a gvm upgrade on my 200 and been told I can’t put wheels on it as it will be over the legal height and wheel track etc?
Im 65 and we bought a 2023 XLT Supercab 2.0l bi-turbo. It mainly serves as my work ute, but is very comfortable as a long distance traveller. I do a lot a driving on country roads, including unsealed roads and I agree that the suspension can be a little unforgiving. What actual shock and spring combo did you fit? On the other points, my model doesn't have the auto stop-start and the other settings dont really bother me that much. If anything I wish Ford had printed a full manual with better images, the online manual is not the easiest thing to navigate. As you're all aware, there's lots of tech to deal with and a lot I have found through my own trial and error and investigation. For example, the fog light that comes on when you turn a corner. I thought there was something wrong as I would turn into our drive at night and one fog light would be on.....worked that one out👍. Maybe im getting old but on the whole, I'm very pleased with the vehicle.
It's great to hear you're enjoying your 2023 XLT Supercab 2.0l bi-turbo! It sounds like it’s serving you well for both work and travel. For the suspension, we love using a Dobinsons springs & suspensions setup. They're designed for Australian conditions. This setup has provided a much smoother ride, especially on those unsealed country roads. Regarding the tech, it can be a bit overwhelming. It's a shame the manual isn't more user-friendly, as having clear instructions is essential, especially with all the modern features. Age aside, it sounds like you've got a handle on things and are making the most of your vehicle. Enjoy the ride, and safe travels on those country roads! 👍🚙
It's for the benefit of our customers. Reuben is known for finding his vehicle's limits and testing DMW's products in the real-world. This ensures our builds can withstand different conditions and way of use. :) Cheers!
Love the DMW channel. They did some crazy tracks on the 4wd24/7 channel. You can tell DMW knows what his rigs are capable of!!! Greetings from Arizona 🇺🇸
Amazed that auto transmission did not get a mention - it was the thing I liked least on my test drive in one last week. Really awkward gear changes that take forever to execute - it was a deal breaker for me with this vehicle.
Thank you for your feedback. The automatic transmission experience is indeed a crucial factor when considering a vehicle. It's unfortunate to hear that the gear changes felt awkward and slow during your test drive. That is why it's always good to really test drive a car first if it's a fit for you and your lifestyle.
its very simple... Out of the box, the most capable off road vehicles are Jeeps and Landrovers. Always has been. In my experinece as a 3rd generation dealer, Jeep Australia is a bigger issue then the product themselves especially the Wrnaglers which at the core are a fairly simple vehicle. Grand Cherokees not so much. Toyota are trading off a reputation from the 80's that simply isnt justified anymore. Comfort in the jeeps isnt going to be as good as the toyotas or nissans and certainly nowhere near a landrover but the JL series is closing the gap...
Fox is a good suspension brand but you have to try Dobinsons too. Not only they are well made, their products are also designed, developed and tested in Australia.
@@dirtymuddyweekendsyeah used Dobinsons quite a few times, just seems a bit strange to pay a premium for a product that you’re going to pull out anyway.
Im a no body and Ford have always looked after me and alot of people I know but like all companies in certain dealerships or businesses if you have a bad boss can be shit
That’s awesome. We drove back to try and find it later that afternoon but it was gone. So glad you picked it up for us. Can you please contact the office in Toowoomba and let them know you found it please. We will give you a reward. Thank you so much. Cheers Reuben
@@reubendolphin9984 I found it right on sunset just near the old telegraph station, i was sleeping in my plane that night. No need for a reward, I’ll call your office shortly. Cheers, Michael
Awesome video Reuben and Hannah and Aidan really enjoyed it. Wow I was so impressed with the old school Trucks etc out there in the scrub some of my favourite was the old Holden just dumped there which they should be getting restored and put back on the road. And couldn’t get over the old Petrol Belser . And old mate taking use around and showing you are around what a legend. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing the next episode I guess it’s on same time next week
