Hiya there, my names Mike & I recently had the pleasure of filming the arrival & installation of P 178 at its current resting place at the One:One Collection in Margate. With your agreeance, I would like to use some clips of footage from one of your videos to show her in her former glory, credit will of course be given as will a link to your video. Please let me know if this is ok. Many thanks, Mike.
All the more mind-boggling as there was literally nothing there other than a bastardised station building! Incredible. (I'm proud to be a member and supporter)
Quite a handsome cove naked, must say. Next time a U comes into service, I'd love to see at least a photo op without deflectors, in the style that the class began (we can forget the smoke box snifters).
Hi John, I didn't know Archie was being tested until I arrived at Kingscote on Wednesday morning. An engine I know nothing about but good to see it on the tracks again
If only there was some way to get the money out of Beeching's estate for that bridge. I heard that the heritage railway have now bought the trackbed which is good news. All we need now is for the cement firm to go bust then it's steam all the way to Haywards heath!
What a lovely line just for the smaller tanks. We totally enjoyed the shunting train stood in the guards van and this could be extended every year as more track is done. David and Lily. Reading.
