The Governor is not supporting Prop 36 because he has seen that Prop 47 is working. What the public has to understand is that Restorative Justice takes time to work; and that people's lives are being turned around by getting another chance to turn around their mistakes. Putting low level offenders in jail only hardens them. And it destroys their lives.
Are the people in favor of this prop and the people in these comments really this stupid. California had tough of crime laws exactly the same as this prop since the 80’s and they did nothing to deter crime all it did was increase the prison population and help private prison owners get rich. We really have gone backwards and it seems it’s because our population keeps getting dumber.
Rancho Palos Verdes should be a commune, off-grid. And they should prove that it is possible to exist and thrive. Good job to this couple for being intelligent and choosing to adapt.
Why would it affect Black and Brown people or Communities? Is that because it happens MORE with people like that or Communities like that...? IF so.. WHY should they NOT be PUNISHED..???
