It’s as pathetic that your station is blurring the face of the criminal as it is that police didn’t arrest her! They keep doing it because clearly it’s not against a lot of steal there.

My issue is with security in the system. A lady was just killed at the studio city station. When are metro managers start taking safety seriously? There are always deranged people riding the metro without paying the fare. Something as simple as fare enforcement will take care of or at least reduce the level of mayhem going on. I take metro frequently but I will not let my family on the metro due to very real security concerns. I went to the LA Times festival of books last weekend. I did not see 1 police officer the entire ride from Sierra Madre to USC, but I saw lawlessness, homeless people, jerks playing loud music and drinking beer, etc. Where the hell is the money for security going? I think that is a shame that a tiny minority has made such a mess of the transportation system. I am a Liberal but I think that allowing chaos and not enforcing rules and regulations has been a conscientious decision by metro to please some loud "advocates", who consider the "homeless" lovely and in need of love and understanding. That is until we realize that they cut somebody's throat.

This headline is misleading and cheap. This was not outside of Compton College but the home was near the school. It happened in the backyard of a home. This is just another way to unhumanize the young man that unfortunately passed away. May he rest in peace and his family find solace.
