One day it’s firing huge breaks and the next it the perfect snorkel spot… would have loved to have been there before the stairs… my dad was navy and we lived on Oahu 69-72. Do you have any ideas on how I can attach a rear cargo net to my 2019 RAV4? The rear only has rings on the floor for the spider net. Hopefully someone out there has figured this out :)

I’ve seen them for the very rear end so things don’t fall out when you open the lift gate… and I’ve seen the “spider” nets, but none that will attach to say the ceiling area to keep a pooch back there. Here is another must have mod that every US or Canada based cars MUST have: get aspherical mirrors from Europe. That increases field of view by 60% and eliminates a need to turn head over shoulder.

Hey, Rich! Nice modifications! It's a pity that in Russia they fine police officers for non-factory modifications! So I replaced the interior lamps in my rab4 with LEDs and threw out the factory high frequency speakers in the front panel. The new alpine speakers sound great. Let's upgrade our Toyotas to Lexus level :)

Enjoy your RU-vid channel. I just bought this RAV4 hybrid. Has 75,000 miles on it. Concerned about battery. I hanever been able to get the battery to show full charge. Recently on a trip on the interstate this, in the picture is the best it would do. When it gets to three empty bars from top it starts using from the battery. Is this normal? Is there an adjustment needed for that.? I could figure out how to send the picture. What it is the picture of the engine running the car at 74 mph. Also pulling voltage from the battery with only 4 bars of battery. The battery level never gets higher. I had driven on interstate 30 minutes when picture was taken.

@@richgibson1816 I've got the 2022 Hybrid XLE. I had some of the things you mentioned in here already. The Carbon Fiber accents over the cheap black plastics, the organizer that slides into the center console stack, but my favorite so far has been the custom Rav 4 Faux leather seat covers I bought. Between the Carbon Fiber accents and leather seat covers, the interior looks significantly higher quality than it originally did.

I'm with you on a lot of the mods. I hate the almost universal movement in industry to non-tactile buttons, so I appreciate the fact that you addressed that by the little clear knobby things. I am hoping there is a steering wheel mod that would replace all smooth, wimpy buttons I have to touch with just the tip of my finger (and take my eyes off the road) with actual grippy, shaped buttons like back in the old days! (shakes fist at clouds)

Great question. Haven’t really noticed much of a change at all. It has gone up, but $10 or $20? You see I’m also running my portable A/C so I can’t really tell you what is what with a small increase. So let’s put it this way, it hasn’t gone up by $50, $100 or $200, so I’m happy to pay a tad more for cooling in the summer and hot tub before bed!!! Hope this helps a bit.. enjoy your tub! It’s worth it!

My phone moves back and forth when I put that in wireless charging tray and when it’s not on the right position it doesn’t charge, any idea how to fix that?
Mine moves back and forth as well now and then… I just live with it. And if it won’t charge or apple play, I just take the charging end of the iPhone cord out, turn it over and plug it back in. Mostly that works for me. If it continues to not work I do two things… get a new cord and or clean out the port on my iPhone so it makes better contact… that always fixes it for me. After I filled it up the first time, I had the jets on and it took 26 hours to heat up. The second time I had the jets turned off so it just recirculated the water through the heater and it took 16 hours. Just turn it on, make sure the keys are off, and keep the cover on.., Hope that helps! Cheers!
@@richgibson1816 hmmmm… we just got ours, filled it up and turned it on… I’m able to turn the jets on settings 1 & 2. But they NEVER actually turn off… or go lower power than setting 1. After the set temperature is reached does the pump go slower than setting 1 which is low. Do the jets turn off once the temp is reached ?
@@salmonkiller2545 oh right. So it does runs constantly until it reaches your hot water setting. So yes, it will run continually until it reaches temp. What I’m talking about is the valve to have it bubble hard or soft up next to your switch controls… look at the video at minute 4:53. You’ll see where to keep the valve off while circulating and heating… when you use the tub, get in, hit the switch for high/low, the turn the valve for high pressure jets or off. Don’t worry! Once it’s up to temp, it’ll kick on and off very seldom! Cheers
@@salmonkiller2545 I know!!! That’s why the first time I heated it up, I have the “jets” valve turned on and it took so long for it to come up to temp. I figured (wrongly) that if the air bubbles (jets) were on high, it would heat faster. But I found out that when the jets are on high, those bubbles are outside air being used for pressure and it actually cools it off while being used… also, when you’re done with a hot tub session, your tub will run for awhile, while it comes back up to your temp setting. So, unless you’re in the tub and using the jets on high, turn off the jets so it can heat faster!

No… like I said on the video, I just keep the bubble switch off and it heats up. I went with the 110 instead of the 220, and I’m sure the 220 would be much faster on initial heat up, but I was good waiting. So 16 hours from 63 degrees to 103. Then, it does not cycle too very often to stay at 103. Good insulation and heat retention. I really love this tub! Cheers
Just a warning to folks. I installed the black badge on my steering wheel to cover the silver logo and I loved it. However I just read a bulletin from the national highway safety administration. It warned that people have been injured when these items have dislodged when airbags deploy. Sadly I removed the black logo badge yesterday. :-(

OMG, in your video you show the front crash bar behind the grille, use a 50mm box section spacer on top of the bar, bolt through it (holes are there too) and some flat metal through a gap in the grille and then you have two very solid mounting points to put lights or a bar on. You dont have to destroy your bumper and grille.
Destroy? You’re a bit dramatic…. I wanted them flush mounted and I’m quite happy with the results, and they work great. I didn’t need a whole light bar. And speaking of videos.
