Locking repeaters make for various redstone contraptions I've made in the past - I think there's an ABBA circuit version I used frequently involving them but it's been a while since I have made anything complex with redstone so I don't remember. Totally disagree on the clock, I have one with me all the time on survival cause it's nice to know when to head back to the surface from the mine for some daylight wood chopping.
Ive made more charcoal in modpacks than there are atoms on this planet. Play more modpacks. And thats with nerfed recipes where you need a multiblock to make it
Charcoal is really good for early game playthroughs when youre only mining for a while for one reason or another. For me i like building stone houses, so ill try to grab a bed from sheep or a village, two stone axes worth of wood, then hit the mines till ive got what i need to lay out my first home
Charcoal can be automated in its creation making it better than coal. the mushroom island is a great base location for no mob spawns and mooshrooms can provide infinite food from a single one by milking them for soup. The nitwit can be used for iron farms and villager breeding. More subjective but I’ve used the dead bush decoratively plenty, and getting sticks from them for free is nice. Furnace cart is great for moving villagers without having to deal with expensive powered rails. Spectral arrows are literally a direct upgrade to normal arrows and are given to you in large amounts by piglins. Desert wells have exclusive archeology loot.
for me charcoal is the most important item.. i use too many torches to make enough from normal coal... and it is way easier to just collect the wood and then smelt it. Also i prefer to use normal coal for coal blocks (also it is good to trade it with villagers...) . And after some playgame, of course the best fuel is lava. But i dont have luck for dripstone, like, i spend on my latest world like 50h underground and i didnt discover ANY dripstone
Personally I use charcoal a lot from time to time. Mostly because I’m out of coal and can’t be asked to get more or i’m playing skyblock in which it suddenly makes a lot of sense
a few of these, like furnace minecarts and spectral arrows, could have some cool uses. If you could chain minecarts together than you could use furnace minecarts for a less resource intensive railway. And spectral arrows could be used to make a temporary light source by firing them
The furnace minecraft is super useful to move mobs on rails. Especially villagers, which can control the minecart to go in directions you don't want them to. Also because those rails are usually temporary, so you don't want to use powered ones.
is it a common believed myth that by not doing any sound you can avoid the warden in any scenario? Like he literally just straight up runs straight to you even if you crouch or stand still after a mob has made a sound.
"cause no one kills 10 rabbits" I accidentally got a rabbit's foot from the first rabbit I killed from the start of the game when I was testing out a mod
I think the idea behind charcoal is you can renew it very easily as one charcoal + 8 logs is a net gain of 7 charcoal, so if you've depleted your local area of coal you can still make an equivalent to it
I’d say the spectral arrow is useful bc when you go to the nether and run out of arrows clearing a bastion you more than likely will get them out of a chest and help you continue shooting the brutes…
Charcoal is more efficient than coal. You can make a test melting or cooking anything: - Place 1 charcoal and melt any amount of sand. - Come back when the charcoal ended and count the amount of glass - Repeat with coal. You will see that charcoal melted more since it can burn for longer time.
Honestly I often use charcoal in the early and in the endgame, in the early game you sometimes just don't have coal, then in the later early I usally mine some coal and have enough, then in the late game the coal that I mined earlier is used up the demand greatly increases, because of basebuilding and all coal in nearby caves is mined up, and I don't really like mininig for coal, In the middle and expecially the endgame, when you are mining you are mining for netherrite or diamonds and well you don't get a lot of coal from doing that. So I then eighter have a chronic shortage of burnable material and just burn whatever I can find, or I smelt in Stacks of wood for charcoal.
I honestly don't use about 3 of those things (special repeater, spawner in minecart and furnace in minecart) but I am a know it all in the game coz I have strong foundations in all endeavours of the game. Still a great list.. made me realize how much I've played the game for almost a decade now
Charcoal is very useful for maps like. Skyblock and oneblock And Minecart furnace is useful for if early game rail system and trains And desert are now useful with a brush
Aesthetic effects surpass practical application in a game like Minecraft in my opinion. When you can’t get more powerful you decide to make beautiful things.
I don't really like caving (especially strip mining) but I need a lot of coal later on in the world so I usually make an automatic charcoal farm. I might be the only one who does that but whatever
