I am no one who cries easily about movies, but this brings actual tears to my eyes. Odysseus' panic attack (at least it kinda looks like one), immediately followed by Polities breaks my heart in a dozen different ways
I have listened to this song so many times. How did I JUST realize that when he said "I took too long," he meant she was ALIVE when he left for war and he didn't get to say goodbye when she passed, bc he wasn't there.... I've cried three times today, I can't keep doing this 😭😭
Polities and his mom are the only ones who aren't mad at him probably because they don't blame him for what happened no one knew the cyclops had a club and Odysseus had to fight the war for their country as the king of Ithaca
Just wanted to chime in that the concept of the boat flipping into the waters and them sailing "on the otherside" of the sea as the underworld was incredibly inspired and well executed!
BROO this was brutal, why u do that, omg it hit me hard, i cant even see the screen, is to epic the animation, the part of the 558 dead men was horribly amazing
This is amazing,t he desings are all cool and I love the threatening aura you give zeus, I like how Epic the Musical has been describing him as a truly powerfull force of nature and not just some pervert, the way me melts in with the enviorment is cool. And hermes, well, you already have two songs, let the other gods have some spotlight my man.
My only grip about this song is that Odysseus doesn't sound pained or conflicted in the beginning until his mother sings with him. After that he displays emotions, which really make it a great song.
I love your character dessign and the way you portray the feelings the song evokes. You had me in tears even more than usual. I hope u do more epic related videos I love your art!!!! :3
This song hurts. Odysseus was forced to relive all the deaths from during his voyage. The finale thought of all those who died. When we hear Polites, it hits my heart heard, especially when even in his final moment, he still holds his beliefs of peace close to his heart. Then, immediately after, we found that Odysseus's mother passed while she waited for her son to return home. And after his mother vanishes the rage of "all i hear are screams!" Is the perfect show of his resolve and desire not to lose everything. It's a beautifully crafted song and an absolutely amazing emotional rollercoaster. Thank you for this animation!
I love the boat flipping to the underworld... the only other representation of that transition to the underworld is in Pirates (of the Caribbean) but it's so fitting for Epic
