It might be called SOS to many. Growing up, this recipe is creamed chipped beef, with sausage it's sausage gravy. SOS in the Army is made almost the same with ground beef. The Navy version is called Red SOS because the recipe often includes red peppers and tomatoes with the ground beef. Love them all!
Here is my review of the TOSHIBA Electric Rice Cooker. Below is the link to the product and a list of some of the features. www.amazon.com/dp/B091TW6ND5?maas=maas_adg_6DA93F10AE7AA656742087199F2D9803_afap_abs&ref_=aa_maas&tag=maas
I started working at Burger Chef at Chandler, AZ in 1969 where we made the sauce in the restaurant. We made it 5 gallons at a time. The only difference we used Miracle Whip instead of Mayonnaise. After a few years they started buying the sauce in gallon jars. The taste was not the same. Maybe in the prepared sauce they used mayonnaise. I miss Burger Chef after all these years. My last year to work there was 1976 in Tulsa.

This is close, but not exact. I added actually twice as much ketchup as was asked for, twice as much, Worcestershire, twice as much garlic salt, twice as much pepper, and I also added a tablespoon of white vinegar and it tastes way closer than it did before.
Mild sauce for whatever reason tastes the best of their sauces. The others are just hot pepper sauce. The mild has an actual flavor profile. No, I'm not scared of spicy. Diablo sauce is child's play to me. Just flavor wise.. it's the best of their sauces. To the point where IF I buy on the shelf Tacobell Mild.. which is close.. but does NOT taste the same! Maybe it's the packet plastic.. idk.. but it's not. I add Tapatio to give it a bit more kick. Also, for those who are lazy, Old Elpaso enchilada sauce will get you most of the way there.

You almost got it right. Its half Best Foods mayo, Half Catchup , Less than a Quarter buttermilk, and the real secret. Add Smoked Paprika and onion powder and you have it spot on. I like to add just a tiny bit of Liquid smoke, Like 6 drops. Remember the little red specks in the sauce back then... It was the smoked Paprika. Good job and best wishes!
