I’m in Hk too, but i wanted english, well, i can still read chinese, but after loading into the menu, i couldnt change back into the traditional chinese, and stayed in simplified chinese, i absolutely love this game, just the language is bothering me
Bandai, FromSoft, and Sony have just been giving me crap this entire week. First off, I buy the Elden Ring DLC only to find out it doesn't work because I play Elden Ring on disc, two days later I buy the digital version with the DLC already on it because I thought I'm gonna get a refund anyway, only to find out that you can't change the language. It takes them probably like 5 minutes to give Asia a english version, but its been 2 goddamn years and they still refuse to even acknowledge it.
same dilemma to me right for the DLC, I'm inclined to purchase the 299hkd ER dlc but the product description doesn't include english on it only chinese/korean and the sony support recommends me to purchase the 39hkd ones (the premium ones) which is kinda shady to because they want me to buy the more expensive ones and I dont really need the other items included on it, so yeah this issue up until now wasn't addressed by sony.
Don't buy, there's a simple solution. Create an American, British or Australian account, buy PSN voucher in USD from a reliable source like Playasia, top up and purchase elden ring that way. Switch back to your main account and play... DLCs can be done the same as long as the region matches. Make sure you double check the language option

2 years later and the issue still hasn't been fixed. I had to wait to go back to my home country to buy a physical copy of the game that was in English....And now they just repeat the same problem as ''shadow of the erdtree'' is only listed as Chinese/Korean on the Asian PSN. Why are they even doing this?
Today I decided I wanted to get the game. So I did. I opened the game up but it was all in Chinese. I cannot change it nor can I get a refund since according to sony if you download the game you cannot refund it. How stupid. This ruined my day. 55 dollars gone down the drain.
I am not going to bend into this is Emerald WEAPON. Though the game is different, the story beats have thus remained in tact.....minus hitting Rocket Town and Bone Village before the Forgotten Capital. WEAPON as we know them (Emerald, Ruby, Diamond, Sapphire, and Ultima) were sealed in the Northern Crater with Sephiroth. It is one of those moments in the game that everyone remembers. Towards the end of Rebirth, these two creatures are seen swirling down into the depths of the lifestream. When I saw that, I almost expected to see one of the WEAPON some into the scene. Even though that is not the case, I still feel that is what the intent of it was. Not to mention Emerald remained in Crisis Core's re-release. I just don't see them removing WEAPON as we know it from the title. I could be wrong.....but I just don't think so. There is one prospect I am hoping for.....fighting Sapphire WEAPON in some capacity in the next title. Possibly through Chadley, since you never actually fight it.
The weapons were the most epic part of FF7, those fish are the size of emeralds shoulder at most. Well not sure how they will handle the scaling this time. In the original game, in cutscene and world map they were huge, but in combat they were a lot smaller.
The 'Weapon' they refer to seems to be more of a 'species' that lives in the Lifestream rather than some ancient sentient weapon the planet created. Here's hoping the originals are still waiting for us in part 3, because if this overgrown Lifestream fish is what we get for WEAPON, I'm very disappointed
I will be, too! But I don't think Square would do that to us. From what I'm experiencing halfway throught the game, they've actually added tons of new stuff. And I'm loving it!
I don't think it's emerald these look like new engineer weapons that were just born due to recent events happening with mako reactor to stabilize lifestream whereas emerald and the other were old weapons build for war to fight jenova but went to hibernation in north crater after the remaining cetra dealt with her
It's not an Emerald weapon, these are extra weapons they added into the game. You'll most likely see the original weapons of some sort when you visit the mountain region/find the body of Sephiroth (similar to how they were released in FF7 original) - without spoiling anyone who hasn't played the original game.
Bro i know the feelings i am playing Elden Ring using Translate from my phone. Like at first it was really bad i was about to leave but now i have adapted so i am currently playing my audio is english but every thing text is in chinese.

This game is ass. It freezes for me at the end of each multiplayer match. Then I can’t change my settings to bump trigger L1 and L2. Worse COD game ever. No one had an answer how to fix.
I'm sorry to hear that. But it appears you don't understand how the settings work. You might wanna check if you're flipped. If your game keeps freezing, that's obviously due to hardware issues. Your problem, dude. So the game's not ass... It's just you, man. Just you.😅
@@HekigyokuGaming no it’s not me. It’s locked and you can’t flip it. Regular buttons is L2 and R2. I’m trying to flip it like it did for my MW2 game. Now the hardware I can’t fix myself and this is why I don’t like digital downloads and yes the game is ass. It’s just a patch from MW2 lmao. It’s the same game and they took out tuning for your weapons.
