I've 50mins on air RB and 25hr on sim just with keyboard and mouse lol. I just don't understand why people don't like sim since its legit both more chill and rewarding especially if you know how to fly what you fly
I swear… if war thunder sounded like that, I wouldn’t even play in the battles anymore, I would just be sitting on the tarmac in the pilot age mission enjoying the sounds.
Mirage IIIC is another gem in this regard. The 530 its carrying is far more capable and you can easily get a kill in a head on engagement from 10km considering rwr are far and few between, people ain’t expecting a fox 1 at that br, and it’s unlikely you’ll be unlucky to find someone else with any fox-1 at that br. There is the crusader iirc with the goofy SARH missiles but they’re far outrangwd by the 530.
i play on xbox and my engines go up to 101% and then till 110%, and i can manually do like 107% and shi like that and sometimes 101% afterburns sometimes it doesnt
if ur on mouse and keys like me and dont have ur WASD with Q and E binded to ur planes movement u alredy loose just bind left shift to wep and left ctrl to decelerate leaving your mouse wheel open to key bind options pings and markers and lock on while ur key board hand handles to movement of the plane to make the mouse op
I do the reverse of this, I play the F8U and bait Mig-21s to try and R3-R me. then I chaff twice, rinse and repeat a couple times and most of them usually go back to low altitudes.
Tbh I hate spaa, I mainly play low teir helis (the westland wasp) which has no warnings at all, Annoyingly I cant rush in and have fun, mainly sit back bc of that, I see why people play apaches ect, purely grinding it so I get that fun rush playstyle
Probably nooones gonna see this but- also bind your scroll wheel down to your countermeasure. That way if you have IR missiles inbound, you can yank the scroll wheel down to launch flares AND deactivate afterburner at the same time. Useful if you keep forgetting to do one or the other
i swear, no matter what i do IR missles do not care about my flares bruh, ill drop like 20 flares and it will go right by them, unless everyone is using radar missles now, even then though i bring a ton of chaff and fly really low I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO AT THIS POINT 😭
btw if you turn the back engine off on the yak 141 or only vector the front ones it will give you insane amounts of nose authority, to the point where you start flipping at low speeds, so you could master it
realshatter was literally the aphe change before the aphe change. so judging by their pitiful attempt at realshatter the aphe nerf is going to be insanely bad for a few months
there's literally zero connection between realshatter and aphe besides the fact that they affect post-penetration damage the APHE changes are about the round travelling more inside the vehicle before exploding, and then exploding in a cone pattern (similarly to what we already have on Swedish vehicles) Realshatter was a reduction in spall created by rounds going through the airframe of aircraft (rounds with big HE filler were less affected by this change, as the video points out)
@@wallachia4797 “there’s no connection” one was broke on launch and still is. Aphe will be broken on launch and for months/years after. They changed how HE on smaller guns such as aircraft cannons to be less spherical. Now they change aphe to be less spherical in damage. It’s the same system on a larger scale. And it will be broken on launch. One was a nerf to the amount of damage when a shell detonated and now they want to reduce the amount of damage when a shell detonates. It’s the same concept on a different vehicle lmao realshatter was made so aircraft damage would be “realistic” (it wasn’t and it was never implemented right anyway) and now they want to change aphe (change the damage model to be more “realistic” when time and time again gaijin has proven that they will NOT improve the game and now an entire section of their game is now unplayable because of how poorly they implemented their said “realism” change).
@@thegrubhubguy638 If you wanted to make a "broken new feature" comparison, you could've much more easily plugged in the addition of volumetric, which has only gotten more broken as the years went by. Realshatter and APHE are not the same
@@wallachia4797 so shell size is more comparable to shell damage than shell damage is to shell damage. sound logic ngl. at core value realshatter reduced the damage done by aircraft cannon shells. the aphe change at core value reduces the damage done by aphe tank shells. at core value both realshatter and the aphe nerf have been to reduce damage done. both are the exact same in the way that they do nothing other than change the game in a more negative way for the sake of "realism" when it has been shown that gaijin cannot make realism and any attempt to try has been a failure through and though. take your very own example, volumetric, implemented to make the game more realistic but as you yourself said has only gotten worse (less realistic and more annoying/bugged).
So what I’m hearing is, the US aircraft are terrible and to be effective you need more of them? That seems a bit unrealistic in a game where most people play solo
