Remember, too, that there are "happy accidents." Sometimes the quilt looks better and more interesting if you leave the mistake there. The original quilt with all the mistakes was absolutely beautiful and interesting to the eye.
I'm teaching my daughter to sew and I told her that unpicking is just another step. No different than cutting, sewing, picking out fabrics or ironing. It's part of the process. Think of it as improving your project.

Good you mention this fix, because a lot of people don't know about it. It's even easier to do if you put about 1/4" of material under the feet, and roll the handwheel toward you until the needle just touches the material. If you loosen the nut in that position, the foot will drop down and align. Then tighten the nut again. Thanks for sharing your tip.
My father in law does upholstery as a form of supplementary income and his walking foot wasn't working. He was really bummed cause he had to possibly spend $1,500 for a new machine. Hi Laura, Thank you for your comment. You are right. I made the video before I added the second side border. Therefore, the border was not as long as I stated. I should have said cut two for the length. After attaching the borders then turn the quilt and measure again as I explained. Thanks for noticing the error.
Thank you my consew just wasn’t walking smoothly and because of this video I did this adjustment and perfect sew again. I was ready to sell and buy a new machine.
