Railfanning the NS Dearborn Division since 2003 and making videoes about model and real trains. Mostly CSX and Amtrak, but I also like to railfan NS. Thanks for checking out my channel!! ...S...Put this
I like the sound of those diesels. I live near the metro north waterbury line in ct and they use on some of their trains the P32AC/DM locomotive and they have that sound of the air compressor whoop when it kicks in.
I always wondered if trains had a auto pilot like if the engineer needs to use bathroom does the train have sensors to slow it down when it approaches a curve and switch points like does it have a program or something
Hello, My name is Brian. I am an N Scale modeler. A friend and myself are doing a monthly collaboration video and the show will have a blooper segment. I was wondering if I could use a few of the bloopers from your video in mine? We would appreciate it. Thank you,
peculiar how there does not appear to be a walkway on the outside to the engine room. Do you get to it straight from the cab? I read that these Amtrak locos have another engine for generating power to the cars lights and utilities. Do you have to manually crank that one up, too?
The Genesis series has a door inside the cab behind the Engineers seat that leads down a few steps to a walkway. On your right (facing aft) You have a restroom, then a High Voltage contactor room, Then a door in front of you that leads to the Prime Mover "room". Walk down to the end of that and another door leads to an area that has the rear truck traction motor blower, radiator fan and air compressor. Walk around all that and head towards the front and you will find another door that leads to the left side of the locomotives Prime Mover. HEP (Head End Power) for the coaches comes from the Main Generator on the Genesis series. So their is no secondary engine to provide this power.
+06P71 I've noticed that so far the P42DC and the Dash 8 make those sounds. And what's the humming sound after you hear the air compressor engaging? Are these sounds related to the Head end power? (HEP)
