I am from Irish/Scottish decent. I grew up appreciating their dance but then learned Appalachian clogging, flatfooting, contra and square dancing. These dancers are terrific but something about comparing the traditions/cultures/styles made me sick. I think there was too much cross mixing of the styles, particularly near the end. I believe 90% of people would not understand the differences. Please refine and separate to help people understand. BTW, those young women all have great legs but it seems that if we are comparing traditional cultures, a more culturally appropriate dress should be worn. Woohoo! All the best!
If you have never seen the Christmas show at Carolina Opry, you are missing out on an unbelievable treat! The program last over two hours and there is never a dull moment! The talent that is on display is AWESOME! Music, dancing, comedy and emotions all in one place. You owe it to yourself to see it!
Awww I am so excited I found this!! I use to be apart of the southern bells a long time ago. I miss clogging so much! The outfits and the routines are definitely a lot more cooler now lol!

Yes, the Holiday Performance showcases all the dancers from City Center Dance studio which includes Irish step dance, hip hop and ballet as well as traditional clogging. Thanks for the comment.
