You took really good care of it to get it that big. I’d recommend selling it as a whole next time if it’s too large for your care. You’d make a huge profit ($5000+) and someone would be extremely happy to have it and grow it further.
Hi, I would just like to mention, you are using the incorrect terminology when referring to the Euphorbia's. The Euphorbia is in the Euphorbiaceae family while cacti are in a Cactaceae family. Thus Euphorbia's are not cactus, they are succulents.
I find that no spray or beneficial bugs work. Only IMIDACLOPRID granules. You just pop them on the soil and water in - the thrips will be all gone in 4-5 days. Treat every plant in your collection.
Wat leuk om terug te zien. Ik zocht even de datum op van de markt en ik zie dit leuke overzichtje nu voor het eerst langskomen! Groetjes! (Kim @het.planten.paradijs)
i bought a very large Thai (it hardly fit in the back of my SUV) and it had awful root rot when i got it. I tried to remedy the soggy soil situation but it lost all its roots and when i lost half the leaves i decided to chop and prop, the top cutting is currently rotting from the inside out and the bare stump made a single node activate and thats my final hope of that over $200 plant i bought just to have it all basically die off slowly over a few months on me. Its been depressing. Currently they are in water where i hope i can keep them. Its gently heated and has an air pump to keep things moving.
Hello, first of that is beyond being patient & I'm so sorry because just listening to your story was stressful.I can truly understand how you were feeling. I purchase from sm.businesses & purchase a handmade plant pot from this young lady sm. business pottery in NY. She emailed a sale for pottery ready to ship. I purchase a pot 2wks passed no update. I emailed asking when will it ship.No response for 2wks. She then responded she been out of town & she will ship it the next day. A wk passed no update. I emailed again she responded she been ill & will ship. That was August of 2023 & still haven't received anything. Because I used my debit card & instead of a credit card it was nothing they could do.I just said you reap what you sow & called it a lost.I even called this shop in NY where I purchase her 1st pot on thrir website to ask about her since they sell her items. He told me yes she's still around because she was at a outdoor sale event in the area. I continue to patronize sm. businesses & wont let her deter me..Thank You for your story ( excuse my typo..their)
Wow are you ever patient and yes, they are a bad company because they didn't do right by you. I love WildFern's channel, but did she purchase the package, or did they send her the package for reviews?
Thank you for your support! ☺ She says in her video that the plants are gifted to her and in her description she is promoting them. So I knew, because of that, there was a possibility my plants would not arrive in the state she got them in. That is why I am saying that in the end, the buyer is responsible for their own choices. I knew there was a risk because risks are always present while importing plants, but I never got the plants and I never thought they would react like they did.
@@plantsbylulu Thanks for sharing. I am very particular about advertising. I don't know her personally, but I believe if she knew the company would steal, she would not have supported them. I am sorry you had to endure this but you were way too patient. You got your money so all's well that ends well.
My peace lily needs a watering once in five days (that can be different for every person/household). When I water it later than that, the leaves will droop heavily. When I see that I will immediately give it water, and after a few hours the leaves perk up and it is totally fine.
I learned a lot from this video thanks! When trying to control bugs, try to rotate your chemicals. Bugs gain resistance to chemicals if you only use one kind.
Hello, you're such a lovely young lady & I enjoyed your story of your journey with your Tai.I also tell my daughter plants are like humans & require care as we do...Thank You
I just tried treating my medium sized monstera.d and I caused the roots to all rot away and I was feeling horrible and questioning my skills in plant caring. Thanks to your video I now can see the bigger picture, we make mistakes and that's okay, plus that means that mistake most likely won't be repeated. Thank youu this was comforting. The monstera you're left with is doing GREAT, it's become a monster in no time.
Hi! I am so sorry that happened! Root rot on Monstera's is no fun! I am glad this video helped you to see the bigger picture! But, I think it is important to keep in mind that plant caring is not so much about skill, but more about knowledge and experience (I see it that way at least). Even the most "skilled" person can make rookie mistakes from time to time. Nonetheless, I am glad this video was comforting! And indeed, the monstera that is left is already becoming a monster hahah :D
Gorgeous gorgeous plant 🪴 😍🪴. I realize it was 9 mos ago but if you are still re-home-ing the cuttings…I’ll pay for shipping if you want to send me one. ❤ 👁️❤️🪴🪴🪴
Thank you, this is such a sweet comment! ❤🥰🪴 If I had cuttings left I would try to send you one! But sadly all the cuttings died. I recently made a video where I explain the full story of what happened and what went wrong. 💚
Wow! that was the biggest, beautiful TC I had ever seen. It knows it hurts; I killed my first one by accident. I purchased a second one, almost lost it and Fluval Stratum saved it. Now she is growing beautifully. Biggest lesson I learned? it is only a plant. When you cut it next time, put it in Fluval Stratum, the plant loves that stuff. You did good and even better, you have a cutting from the mother plant I didn't have that! Nice work!
Thank you for your comment, I love that you shared your story! Very nice that you could save your second one and that she is doing great! I have never heard of Fluval Stratum, so I will look into that. And thank you for your kind words! :) 💚
@@plantsbylulu It is for fish tanks. The soil is supposed to be from a Volcano in Japan. One word of caution. They sell two kinds on Amazon. One is regular, one has bio ingredients with blue on the bag. Don't spend your money on it, but if you do, please never touch it with your bare hands when it is wet. I did that and had a dizzy spell for two days. The regular one is fine. Let us know how it works out.
You are a wonderful plant parent! Your story of the trials and tribulations is so relatable. Nothing or nobody is perfect. Most importantly you have to take care of yourself and let the rest go!! I was so excited when the price of Thais went down that I purchased 2. I regret that today cause they are so big after barely a year!
Thank you! Indeed, selfcare is the most important thing! I really like your story and I chuckled a bit when reading about the regret. Nice that they are growing well in your care! I would say: keep doing what you are doing because it works, but then they will become massive!
I love Micans but found they do not do well with climbing. I might try it on a D moss pole with most sphagnum. There is a lady on YT that washed her Micans in soapy water.
@@plantsbylulu I am thinking about attaching it to my fireplace wall which is made of bricks. My Jade Pothos attached to my wall by accident and left marks so no walls for me.
That sounds great, I am wondering if and how it will attach to the bricks. Probably just like how ivy does it on outside walls. And yeah, the marks roots will leave on walls are brutal!
Thank you! Yes, you are right. I am still very strict on this matter 😅. I try to let the “strictness” go with most of my plants. But, if I feel sad every time I look at a plant because I don’t like it, I’m gonna change it.
