Wonderful tutorial! Thank you so much. Do you know approximately how much yarn you used?? Trying to order certain colors and want to make sure I have enough.
Made this for my hubs just because i used Bernat Blanket yarn and a size 8 hook so was slightly more puggy then yours. However love your pattern and i also love the fact that you dont spend super long on going over the stitches. Subscribed. This particular pattern took me about 45 minutes including finding stuffing lol.
@@carolabecker8219 thank you! You can actually do any amount of chains that you'd like. It won't affect the pattern at all. As long as you're keeping the width the same 🥰
@selinayasmine8113 haha no problem! I remember that being a nuisance when I was first learning on RU-vid so I wanted to make things as easy as possible 😂 Thank you for watching! 🥰
thank you for following along throughtout every row. as someone with suspected adhd this does really help the process of making amigurumi. thanks a lot!
This is awesome, thank you! ♥️ I must admit that slip stitching the bottom portion of the cross was a little bit troublesome and awkward but I "think" I found a better way to do it (better for me, anyway). Maybe you can try my way and see what you think? What made it easier and less awkward for me to slip stitch the chain-3's on the bottom portion was for me to chain 3 and turn my work BEFORE slip stitching the chain to the cross. Doing this allowed me to reposition my crochet thread so I could slip stitch as normal instead of having my thread feeling wonky and backwards. This only works when building the bottom portion of the cross because the other part is being done in the usual direction. Anyway, thank you sooooooo much for this tutorial! I just love how its design is based on a Granny Square which makes it ez-pz-lemon-squeezy. 😄👍
My father is currently at the hospital because of a stroke that apparently also has something to do with his heart malfunctioning, so I want to surprise him with a little gift. I was looking for an easy pattern that I could make in one night and found your tutorial, so now I made this as a present for him and I'm sure he will love this. I am a beginner and this was super clear to follow, thank you so much❤!
@@SophieValeria I am so glad this was easy enough to follow. What a sweet gift for your dad!! Sending you and your family lots of love and positivity for a full recovery and some answers soon. ❤️❤️
@nghuichoo6019 hi! It will, but the heart will be large and the two top portions will be most likely be too small for the rest of it. I do have a tutorial for a larger heart if you'd like to make that one instead. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dsh0g1YWYaw.html And you can always increase the size of either tutorial by holding two strands together or using a umbo size 7 yarn too!
@@susanr.krepps3442 Hi! Here is a video for a very easy pair of fingerless gloves that I have. I hope these will help 🥰 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fzTGxB6JD98.html
I cannot abide anything crocheted with cotton yarn for "wet" scenarios. They always , always hold back too much water and end up smelling of mold much too quickly. It's gross. Sad too because I'd much rather surround my life with cotton than polyester, rayon and plastics :/
@manicangel7796 Aww, I'm sorry to hear that, but I understand. I've not had a problem at all with these, but I was and dry them with my laundry after about every 3 or 4 showers and they get really clean and dry. If it's hot out, I will let them dry outside. I also use cotton face scrubbies that I throw in with the laundry and have never had a problem with any of them smelling or getting moldy. I only use I Love This Cotton though and that may make a difference. I've tried Peaches and Cream before and that didn't dry completely.
You do very well explaining the pattern. Your stitches are too tight, though. For those who are beginners, they may not understand all the crochet lingo. Therefore, to reach that audience, you should go up a size or 2 on your hook so the stitches are easier to see. Good job!
@kimberlymathis9514 Hi, thank you for the feedback! I crochet pretty loosely compared to most, so I was afraid if I went up any more the pattern wouldn't look like what it is supposed to look like since the clusters shouldn't have holes between them. But this is helpful and I will try to make that easier for beginners next time. Thank you! 🥰
Hey Connie! I'm trying to post more often. I made two videos last week. Book covers and kindle sleeves. I have to get back to Instagram soon too. I hope you are doing well! 🥰
I’m hanging in there. Lost my husband unexpectedly May 4, 2024. Haven’t started back up crocheting yet. Too much to do! Love your posts. Keep showing your stuff!
@conniemcdougall3825 oh girl, I am so very sorry to hear this. Sending you a big hug and lots of love. I hope you take all the time you need in getting things done. Crochet will be there when you're ready. Take good care of yourself 🤗💗
I’m a beginner in crocheting and never really comment on crocheting videos, BUT as my thanks to you I commented and subscribed (because you obviously deserve it) and I just want to say THANK YOU, THANK YOU SO MUCH, I really don’t know how to explain it in words but literally god bless you, I needed to crochet something for my friend’s birthday party and had no idea what to crochet until I saw your video, I didn’t really believe in myself but at the same time I kept on pushing because usually the tutorials are hard to understand and a little bit complicated. BUT I DID NOT EXPECT IT TO BE SO EASY AND UNDERSTANDABLE, like I’ve watched the other tutorials and they are a little similar but your’s is TRULY the best. You explained it very well, you showed how to do it very well, overall you did everything VERY WELL.❤❤
You are the sweetest!! I'm so happy this was helpful and you were able to make the pillow with ease. I try really hard to make things as easy as possible, so it means the world to receive a message like yours. Thank you, thank you for being here! I truly appreciate you and hope you love some more of my tutorials as well. ❤
Happy to find you. My mother taught me to knit and my grandmother taught me to crochet when I was quite young. Knitting occupied my time as a young. Mother. I loved to knit socks, blankets, sweaters, scarves, and anything I found a pattern for. As I grew older, I rediscovered crochet. I am 82 currently, and really enjoying you tube and the plethora of tutorials. I recently finished a long hexagram cardigan with full gathered sleeves and a hood. I so love you generous young makers who share your knowledge with us. I have a tremor in my hands and I find that crocheting helps me manage it. I think of my mother, grandmother, and all my knitting and crocheting friends through the years. I find creators and teachers are such lovely people. They always have each others back. Thank you for being there for me to enjoy spending my time with and finding new things to crochet.
@karenshields395 Hi! I'm happy you found me too. I loved reading about your story. I'm so glad you have crochet to help you and keep you happy. I started really learning about 5 years ago. I have an adrenal illness that has kept me mostly bed kind the last 13 years. When I started feeling a little better, I took up crochet and acclimated quickly. So now I try to do videos when I can to help others learn like I did. My mom taught me a few basic stitches when I was young but then I didn't pick it back up until now. I agree, this is a great community and I'm happy you're here too. Thank you so much for sharing, you've made my night 🥰 I hope you will enjoy some of my other videos as well ❤️
@@creationsmisfit So sorry you have illness in your life. I know from experience. I have diabetes and too many other diagnoses for one person. I also share year round allergies as you do. Growing old sure has its limitations. I found your video library and had to stop watching in order to get some sleep. It’s an impressive collection which I will enjoy as I am crocheting my Christmas presents this year. I wish a fulfilling life for you, just as mine has been in spite of my health issues. I was a psychiatric nurse for 25 years, which I loved, but had to retire early due to health issues. Crafts save my sanity, and I have a lovely daughter with whom I live. Again I wish the best for you. Friend? Karen
@karenshields395 Friend, yes! We share in the same attitude of making life worth loving despite setbacks. Thank you so much for the sweet words and for sharing your experiences. Many good days ahead for us both! I never thought crochet would be so fulfilling or bring so many wonderful people into my life. Wishing you a beautiful day, my friend 🥰
Would live to see a tutorial on how you would make this but half one colour and the other half another. Trying to do this for someone amd the colour changing is killing me 😢❤
@amayastafford4662 oh I see. That would definitely be a pain since you have to change halfway each round. With the decreases, the count can get tricky. I will try to do it on my end and if I find it easy enough to explain, I will make a video! 🥰
I also prefer voice/ video recording and your your is clear enough, I did my cap and finished it, just ignore people coming here for their own reasons not for what we are here for, thank you so much for such a beautiful pattern, you are a 🌟🌟👌👌👌
thank you for this tutorial, you are awesome at instruction plus you have a very soothing voice!! you do you.... it doesn't matter what anyone says. they can always click on. I made one of the koozies for a friend my husband's friend, I think he will LOVE it.
Hi! I don't currently have one, but you could use two strands of the blanket yarn together and it would be significantly bigger. Or you can use the Bernat BIG yarn, which is a size 7 instead of a 6 and it would be large as well! 🥰
