If the difference between an homage and a fake/replica is the brand name on the dial then the Invicta is an homage. In my opinion it's a total rip-off just like watches from Pagani design and most of the collection of San Martin and other Chinese AliExpress brands. Is there something wrong with that? I don't think so. Even reputable brands are copying the hell out of each other but then it's called another Gerald Genta inspired watch or something like that. I think another interesting question is to know what the impact of the super clone replica industry (the 'real' fakes like VSF, Clean factory) is on brands like Rolex or Omega. Personally I think it's just free marketing for them. 90% of the people who buy them wouldn't have bought the original anyway.
AP shirt goes hard. the line between fake and homage is plain and simple. if the watch is not an authentic, yet carries the branding of the original, its a fake. if it has its own branding and distinguishing characteristics, like the pro diver, its an homage.

Ppl don’t loose your money in this . The king on 36mm is either 114270 or 14270! I had owned all explorer sizes and versions . If you want 36 go with old reference. Thank me later
I personally think it’s an homage. There’s some slight differences with the size and coloration of the indices and the bracelet clasp is different. This is more of an homage of the older style subs that Rolex no longer sale. Invicta also has their name all over the watch as well…especially on the side of the case! I think it would only be considered a fake if they put Rolex’s name on it instead of their own, but that’s just my opinion.
It cannot be fake just technically, but it's just bad homage, so it has that "bad" aura to the level that everybody will call it fake just cause, so yeah, not fake for obvious reasons, but a homage that just isn't good, and in that case I don't know what's worse. PS: I love homages, I do own some.

In Toronto canada I buy a super super clone I bring it to a rolex expert he say it was real rolex . Unbelievable. Your super clone look just like mine. You a expert but a regular person like me will never know. Imagine on amzwatch
Take it from one smaller wristed fellow: you should stick to 38mm / 46mm lug-to-lug watches. Your smaller watches looked great on you. It took me 20 years to digest the fact that bigger watches just don’t look good on me. Nice Omegas and sweet Tudor.
Seiko has the SSB429, 423, 425 and 427 lineup. All of them are around $220. There are other SSC models as well around that mark. Fantastic chronos with mechaquartz movements. Better built than the Q Timex.
We have a weirdly similar collection lol I have a BBPro, same g shock dw56, same vintage seamaster calendar, khaki field, explorer 39mm and you should add a Cartier santos to the collection😅
i sold my DJ36 for this. Goes with more, looks better in a suit. A watch for a true classic gent. If youre flashy, like to wear brand name stuff, then go with the DJ36
$800 for a mesh bracelet? I am in my early 70s and financially am pretty well set. I have multiple Omegas in my rotation but don't have money to burn. A classic example of our US mindset of keeping up with the Jonses. Hay but whatever toots your horn.
I dont feel he was trying to keep up with anyone? Its a hobby he enjoys and obviously wanted to buy a genuine strap to with the watch. I have the same in black and no one has ever commented on it. It was a gift and not everyone buys to impress people. When I make an expensive purchase its for me and no one else. Maybe im different due to my age (38) I am also from New Zealand. However... I do feel Omega overcharge for their accessories but the way I view it is at least they give you the option whereas Rolex has nothing ! So im just happy you can style your watch differently and they finally brought out a white strap as of last week ! Im very excited, as you would say it toots my horn ! Wear your watches in good health :)

I have 6.5 inch wrist. Took me a while to find right size. There are 3 micro adjust positions that most don’t know about. Once I found them I found the perfect fit this watch is known for.
I have never worn one of these but I am very, VERY happy with my Addiesdive quartz version. As it only cost $45 it leaves plenty of money for other toys and distractions...
