No I left it with no heat since I dont really use it in winter. I thought about making a hot air heat exchanger box off of the exhaust like porsche air cooled cars do since the fan and ducts are still all there. Would be easiest without having to cut anything or fabricate heater core into the mix
Does anyone make a kit car 1969 style 912? Ive tired owning Porsches but the leaky oil, leaking rusted exchangers, push so much poison gas and smoke into the passenger compartment, its just not worth the effort to keep chasing down all of Porsches mistakes.
cmscms123456 I haven’t seen a kit of a 911/912 model that I am aware of. Only the 356 speedster. Some of the kit 356 cars are using Subaru engines now as well. It eliminates some of the issues with these old cars that you mentioned.
I know of the 356 speedster kits, one of the owners there told me Porsche lawyers are very aggressive toward ANYONE trying to make 912 bodies... They go to court "CLAIMING" that the car is still in production, therefore any "COPIES" violate pattent laws. The 1965 to 69 Porsche 912 IS NOT STILL IN PRODCUTION. Today's 911 in NO WHERE NEAR the early models.
