This channel is all about the work that we have around our land using Tractors, Firewood and projects we have as well. We get things done with what we have. We use what we have some older equipment and knowledge we have acquired along the way.
Thank you for visiting our channel and your support.
@@VicsYard I have some welding to do on the tractor bucket. But campers up the road have been hammering my roadside firewood stand. So we are trying to keep up.
Good old splitter like how you change out the wood 🪵 wedge easier and fast . 6 ways you need almost knots free and straight grain timber work the best . 😊

We always took a small bucket with water and dish detergent in it and hand picked them off into the soapy water. Home Depot also sells traps that we tried and had great success with that too. Hope this helps.
I just put up a roadside stand last Thursday so looking at videos. My thinking was that people in loaded SUV's on their way camping might just like wrapped bundles but looks like the loose stacks are the way to go for you.
Yes it seems to be the best for us. outdoors with the morgans, Dude diy, and hometown acres plus many more this seems to do best. We are on the road to a campground. And the ease and convenience I think is a number one seller. We seem to sell more this way than we did when we were selling bundle Wood or just having a sign out of the driveway and then coming by and getting it. Feel free to reach out anytime. Hope we helped.
Can you tell me what a firewood link is? We had a crew cut down our large trees, and the owner said he would cut the trunks into firewood links, and then held up his hands about a foot apart. We naturally thought he meant he would cut them into foot long pieces of wood suitable for firewood. He left us with pieces of tree trunk the size of table tops about a foot thick. We begged him to cut them smaller, and so he grudgingly did so. Obviously we misunderstood what a 'link' is. I googled it but could find nothing.
@@ontheridgega Thank you. We wondered how he thought an old couple who lived in town would know that terminology. I haven't found anyone yet who knew what a firewood link of that size was.
Thank you for the suggestion. I typically do fill tractor buckets up, then fill baskets from there. We filled trailer for a long time customer that wants green split wood to season at their house. They usually buy several face cords a year. The first at end of burning green and the rest seasoned.
Title says new splitter but looks old, guess it works anyways... isn't there a air screw you can adjust on these to make the return faster? I know the electric version has one which are used for transport and if the adjustment on the screw is not correct the return may be slower
It is a 30 ton older splitter. I have been looking into working on the hydraulics to speed it up and have auto send added to it when I rework it as well.
Thank you. Yes we do split and sell a fair amount of firewood. Yes I saw that to, This morning. On the editing software it sounded fine. I’ve got to figure that out.
