In Denmark we have had wolves via natural imigration for about 10 years. Wolves became eradicated +200 years ago in Denmark. Like in the rest of EU wolves are 100% protected species under EU Nature Directives. We have 20-40 wolves in Denmark and ocationaly - off course - they might kill sheeps or young cattle stock in an inclosure, especialy those who have had horns - the natural protection - removed as infants. As everybody knows the natural behavior of wolves are to stay away and avoid humans. Because of that - in the light of Denmark has less than 2% real nature - wolves in Denmark have become nocturnal, hence they can roam without crossing roads with humans. Wolves will NEVER attack humans unless the wolves are cornered or injured. Despite that fact sheep and cattle farmers would like to regulate the number of wolves both in Denmark and orther EU countries. As the video is showing ... farmers - as sheppards have known for generations in The Carpatian Alps, The European Alps and the Pyrenees... you just need to have dogs living together with the lifestock protecting the sheep, goats or cattle...then wolves are not the problem anymore.
Thanks to Peter Smith for explaining so clearly why it makes total sense to require those who control land to compensate the community and society for the PRIVILEGE of enjoying the exclusive control of whatever land is held. Landowners have been enjoying a redistribution of wealth from producers to themselves for many, many centuries.
not all landowners are bad - however worked in the city --- // its very easy to use land to transfer huge amounts of money avoiding taxes via foundations and trusts // labeling all owners the same is unfair however for some its just a vast tax evasion scheme - ..... some might like shooting but does anyone seriously think that is genuinelly profitable --- the numbers dont add up -- life isnt fair true but cheating taxes isnt fair either -- and the law allows it .... all ridiculous records for taxes paid are public record it will open your eyes ...

Q. I have a meadow vole in my home. I wish to winter her until the ground is softer, the predators less voracious, the Spring plants more prevalent. What bedding should I put in the cage? Is that Timothy Hay you used? And what sort of organic dried diet food would best fit: Guinea Pig, Hamster-Gerbil, or Rabbit? I will try to give veg, leafies, fruit, raw nuts. But if she can nibble a quality block and dried flowers as well… I wish to get the food best suited. But don’t know which is best. Any insight is much appreciated.
Why is it always Scotland? England has the room too, and is the largest landmass in the country. Too many nay saying farmers. and a penny pinching government that would argue the toss over compensation, we will never see the reintroduction of any of the predatory animals we killed off. We had the same old argument over possible reintroduction of the eagle owl
Lynx have never been extinct in the Uk , I’ve seen one and so have a few people I know . How these people know so little what lives in our countryside is astounding .
Someone i spoke to, claims he saw one in West Sussex while out walking his dog. Who knows? It's possible. It's a fact that we now have puma, panther/leopard and lynx all breeding wild, in the UK. Lynx are of course, a native species.
