Also 6.2 and 6.5 are essentially the same engines 6.5 just has a larger bore, you can easily install a 6.5 turbo on a 6.2... its best to install a cradle and head studs and make sure it has a good dampener on it when doing that.
Its mostly Detroit's that idle like that over here. But if it gets cold enough the 12 valve cummins will idle like that. Its mostly the mechanical diesels

Very cool. I love the sound when you chop the throttle. Great job. I put a 6.5 GM turbo diesel in my 21 foot fishing boat. It came with a 47 horse Perkins inboard engine that overheated at 12mph top speed. The Chevy diesel drives a Mercruiser Bravo One outdrive now.
