I post videos from my hikes and wild camping that may be of help to you if your thinking of doing the same thing. Mostly from around The British Isles and some from around the World. Any questions let me know? Realty experience information mind soul
Cheers mate , got a Hisense in Oz and it didn’t have ‘any view’ in settings but I cleared the cachet while I was in there and now it’s back .. phew !! touch & go there for a while. you’re a good man 👊
Hey Rich, another great installment. Thanks for allowing us to enjoy it with you. Regarding carrying gear while cycling, I recently invested in a pair of Decathlon Elops 27L Waterproof Bike Bags 900 (code 8738478). I can highly recommend them as I now only carry a small 25ltr rucksack for my sleeping bag and a few other bits. The bulk of the weight is carried by the bike rather than my back and it also stabalises the ride by keeping the weight lower. Not cheap at £80 for the pair, but a good rucksack would cost the same or even much more. Looking forward to the final section. P.S. (not criticism honestly), it's "puncture" not "puncher". I also liked the electric tyre pump and will have to invest in something similar. 🙂
Lowbury Hill Camp Roman temple. Regarded as the site of a probable Romano-British temple. The summit of the hill is occupied by several earthworks, including a rectangular enclosure and a round barrow. The site was excavated in 1913-14, when the bank and interior were investigated. skeleton of a woman, her skull smashed in, was found buried in the foundations of a stone wall.
I catch three stagecoach buses to Avebury for the 2024 full moon summer solstice. Come along me on my journey to witness a full moon and sunrise on the longest day.
RL can be frightening. If you are ever really concerned during a night ride/walk, travel at least 4-500mtrs find cover and switch off all lights (move without lights where you can, or use the lowest level possible). Wait 20 minutes and repeat if nothing happens (changing direction if possible), then repeat again until safe. If you hear or see anybody, stay covered and prepare yourself. 99% of the time it is nothing to be worried about. Looking foward to the next part of the King Alfred's Way. Great vids as usual.
It was probably a troll, you know a real one not a keyboard type of troll.🧌 It seems everyone in hearing noises in the outdoors at the moment my RU-vid feed is full of fake noises outside my tent type content pretending to be real. I ain't buying any of it all the nutters are in the cities not in the sticks! Nice one Richard 🍺🍺😎
The only thing I did on the video was increase the volume but it was a bar to the side of me being hit. Might a fallen stone animal or even hitting it or someone in there. Hahaha yeah to be honest most of them are BS. 😂
I got my tent down early in the morning ridding along Drake's Trail down towards Plymouth from high up on Dartmoor. Was around 2am when i got to this tunnel on the disused railway track. I already been though many tunnels on this coast to coast route i was taking so this was no different. However more than half way though the tunnel i pass one the many side tunnels where i heard something hitting a metal bar. The side tunnels have been barred off. Only when i exited the tunnel i felt safe enough to say what happened. Heard the bar being hit just after i ride past the tunnel at 1:10 on the video. The Devon Coast to Coast Cycle Route is a 99 mile route from Ilfracombe in north Devon to Plymouth. It skirts the National Parks of both Exmoor and Dartmoor and incorporates part of the Tarka Trail, The Granite Way and Drake's Trail. Runs for over half its length on off-road routes along disused railway lines
@@thegroove2000 What I think. I don't think some one would be sleeping in there it's very very damp wet place and miles away from Plymouth and all up hill from there. I am going to have a look be interesting to see.
If it's not waterproof, it's a sleeping bag cover and shouldn't have been sold as a bivvy bag IMHO. Probably less use in a real emergency than a big plastic bag!
