Johnny is so based. I was surprised when Cobra Kai wasn’t completely woke. And it was refreshing. There was a clear difference in generation which I appreciate. They didn’t say either opinion was right or wrong
This show was so well done especially how they manage to tie it back to the original material however for me the best thing about cobra Kai is Jonny, he’s still so stuck in the 80s and so old fashioned he just dgaf it’s hilarious and endearing at the same time.
You can tell Johnny was born in the mid 1960s and up. I was an early 70s baby. When the Karate Kid movie came out in 1984? He was in high school. I was in middle school 😂. This Cobra Kai show is hilarious.
Karate kid came out in 1984, if they were seniors at that time. They would have been 17 or 18 and born in probably 65 or 66. Which would make them Gen X
He’s not a boomer, he was 17 in 1984, that makes him Generation X, one of the oldest, but not a boomer. Gen X are known for being sarcastic and not getting offended, Boomers are the hippies, their free love gave us millennials and woke culture.
The real diff beteween Jhonny and the actual gen it´s simply: he´s not hidding or faking. He don´t prettend to be an another person. He show as real as he is.
Johnny is Gen X (the older end ) born in the late 60s ..i was born in 70 im also in the older end of that generation ,,where as people like my younger brother born in 79 are the "younger" tail end of Gen X
