very nice 9-3, but i got one question tho, i am a SAAB 9-3 owner myself (2002 SE 2.2 TiD) and i want to install a Head Unit to listen to music. Do you have any recommendations or tutorials i can use?
Im Getting a 2002 Saab 9-3 SE and its getting a Stage 3 270 HP and with Mods K&N Intakes and Replaced Exhaust System its gonna be faster than Yours up to 290 to 300HP Front Wheel Drive and Even faster than a Saab 9-3 Viggen and TurboX and those Crappy Ugly Dodge Neon Caliber SRT4.
Is it possible for you to send me a link on how you installed that touch screen head unit. Also the site you ordered it from. It’s so hard to find solid information and wiring diagrams for the og 9-3’s haha
I miss mine so badly 🥹 same year and black leather interior. Rims and emblems were blacked out. Also had two 12” subs with a 1000w amp lol I wish I had kept it.

Question about the door speakers, any info how to add them? i know bout wiring but what about size? how did u wire them to the unit? are there wires pre installed? do i need the S3 amp? etc Also i noticed u have a T7 (the MAF sensor, plastic chargepipe) but have a T5 DI casette, you cant use a T5 DI on a T7. You can use a T7 DI on a T5. Something about knock detection i think
Yes your right about the cassette. I changed it to the black T7 cassette. For the door speakers, the doors are already prewired, behind the headunit tucked away there are the ends of the wires, I ran the wires together with my dash speakers to the back of my headunit because it doesn't support 6 speakers. Since the door speakers are putting out more power than the little 3.5 inch speakers on the dash I ran in line a bass blockers to the dash speakers so it sounds great.

@@Grandpasaab the door speakers size is 6.5 inch and the wires are fully layed down. Just splice to the back of your headunit or add an amp in between. My headunit puts enough power out that I don't need an additional amp. Splice the Saab connector wire and add the connectors for your speakers at the door end of the wires and your set.
@@Grandpasaab if you want to save the original Saab connectors on the door yes. Otherwise you can just splice the connectors off and put new ones for your speakers
Have one of these puppies with 134k miles on it, wanna drive it off a bridge. That's not 260hp, looks more like a 225hp petrol tune. I'm unsure what tune I have in mine, but it wheelspins on second gear, and accelerates much more aggressively, not trying to be condescending, just saying I might tops have 230-240hp because I'm still using the GT1752 orginal turbo and it comes on early with 1bar boost. I'd recommend getting a new aluminum intercooler and pressure-pipes, perhaps from do88, or from maptunparts, where you also can get a proper tune. otherwise if you drive it hard it'll take some boost out because the inlet temperature becomes too high. You are not going to get 260 with just a remap and big kat back exhaust. I have the same car, 2001 SE with Hirsch tune. I have a 2 1/2 inch cat back exhaust. On the rolling road dyno, no mater which map I flashed the ecu with, 225 crank horse power was the limit. You will need 3 inch downpipe for more but that alone will do nothing. Change the turbo to a td04 and add bigger injectors..may get you to 260-270 crankmhorse power. If the new clutch fitted wasnt the bigger viggen clutch, it will fry after 30k-40k. I hope you changed the 288 frt disc set up,to the 308 mm viggen setup? Have fun. Oh, and as bove, you neeed a black dic
Hello! How did you know your car has 260 hp with stage I tune? The 9-5 from 06 and up delivers 260 with a 2.3 engine, so it does not make sense to me your car delivers same power with a 2.0 engine and just a ECU mod...
You got the wrong coilpack. Only cars with trionic 5 (saab 900 94-98, saab 9000 92-98, and saab 9-3 98-99 uses the red one. You have a trionic 7 enginge, you could damage your enigine.
Although rockauto and the manufacturers website says this coilpack is compatable with my car im still going to change to the black cassette to be safe. Thanks for the concern
For 400 HP I would need a 3 inch open downpipe, stage 3 clutch, larger injectors, larger bar Pressure regulators, and perhaps a high flow fuel pump. But also I would blow my turbo quick so I would need to upgrade that as well. Not cheap
Some older 9-3's use the Trionic 5 engine management system with the red DIC. But yours is clearly a Trionic 7 car as it is a MAF car. Also plastic intake. So this needs the black DIC, not the red.
