They say artists make their fantasies real. If that’s true, then my fantasy world isn’t full of rainbows and roses. It’s an old forest covered in moss as fog lingers in the air. It’s a raven on a cauldron and a monster in the sea.
From watercolor and ink to graphite and colored pencil, I seek to capture the magic and mystery of the darker side of fantasy.
Come with me on a journey through legends and lore, dark tales and haunted places. We’ll relax, make some awesome things, and I’ll teach you some of the techniques I use long the way.
I agree! Use black, I can understand using it sparingly, depending on the subject. Blacks and white bring contrast. I tend to use inktense for children's illustration type stuff. I'm inspired to try muting it out next time.
So, as I'm preparing for the October fun I have planned, along with learning some new software.. I was looking back on older projects and art challenges. Because I made myself cringe with the voiceover content (lol) I thought a nice compilation with music only might be fun to have on in the background while your painting. I am planning another livestream soon but am mostly focused on the new video I'm working on and the October content. Keep an eye out 👀

For an experiment, this is a confident, well executed piece. The pencils suit your style, and you just go in and use or mix whatever you need. Very impressive! I have a good and expanded sense of the pencils from your demo, and I was already thinking seriously about buying the 24 set. Thank you!
