The main issue with American Samoa Government is that they don't entice Major corporations to come to Samoa. Samoa doesn't manufacture any products to ship oversea to foreign countries to generate revenues $ for the Samoan people. That will attract professional people to come and work in Samoa. Until that happens there won't be any prosper development for the people of Samoa..
the story is about a young couple who lived in Savai'i which is Samoa but they got a duty to which they would never be able to be back again the name of the woman is fonuea and the man was forgotten long ago and they went in the ocean but they didn't go to complete their duty but instead they fled to American Samoa and they didnt want to be a disgrace in their families so they gave their lives and in some way a loving god took it u-ppon him not to kill them but to turn them into two speccific animals the woman turned into a turtle and the man into a shark and to this day if you sing the song called "fonuea" the turl and shark will come but the shark wont caome very close only the turtle- oh and the legend is turtle and shark
Has LBJ Hospital put the word out if any Hospital equipment used could be shipped to American Samoa and other territories? Being able to increase technical equipment better than what they have.
Sometimes hospitals 🏥 may give or sell it at a fraction of the cost 🤔. There must be some place an broker organization or federal government has wisdom where they can help get it.
I am from Jayapura - Papua Province (Indonesia), very interested in hospitals in Samoa, and medics can visit the Jayapura Dok II Hospital to get to know each other in the medical field and see the city of Jayapura-Papua.
Malo, 😍I want and need to apply for work there at the medical tropical center whats the requirements? Im half Samoan my father's Samoan my mom is white i love the lifestyle way of living there. Im so more connected to my Samoan side i can't wait to go back home i say home half my life i grew up in Samoa😍
Depends on what you'd call healthy. If were talking about general quality of life and overall vibes its awesome. But if we're talking healthy in food. Thats another story. Uts a give or take. Have to remember Samoans have some of the highest rates of obesity. American fast food chains were introduced and it has not helped any. They went from eating more natural food. Their entire evolution built off that. Then having some of the most calorie stuffed unhealthy things thrown in front of you. Thats gotta be tough. Is an extremely beautiful place. Ive been a few times I highly recommend
The number of medical people per resident is low, but where I live a similar population does not have that many more, after you subtract all of the people who just shuffle paper. When I had my gall bladder removed, I saw roughly 20 different people. But only 4 were hands on medical people- the surgeon, his surgical assistant, the anesthesiologist, and the nurse. All of the others were people who just kept asking me about my personal information over and over again, had me filling out insurance papers repeatedly, asking me what meds I was on, etc. We may have 3 times as many actual medical people, though the number employed by the local hospital is probably 10 times as many when you count all of the paper pushers and multiple levels of management.
We do have a drug problem, just like everywhere else in this world, American Samoa is not perfect. However this video was to highlight the good our island has to offer. We are encouraging doctors far and wide to help fight this battle and our lack of needed health professionals and perhaps, you are willing to share this video! Faʻafetai for being honest and hope whatever led you to this video, I hope you found it! Manuia lou aso Jay Vee!
Hi there, as a Psychiatry Medic in NZ with 22yrs experience in Adult mental health and Addiction I would love to work in American Samoa. I am still NZ based. What are the requirements to come work there?
Force those kids to go study medicine and stop the Nintendo. And the government should support them financially. By the way I was born at this hospital in utulei. And I'm from Aua, the village that eats people, Lol.
