Wow, this is an OLD video. I am working on several of these. I don't want to drill one if I don't have too. I am hoping you can answer a question for me. The 8088 has (3) wheelpaks and let's call it an index (0) wheel. What is the order of the wheelpaks? The one closest to the back is 1st or 3rd number? And the one closest to the front is 1st or 3rd number? I suspect middle wheelpak is 2nd number. Thanx.
hi, the one closest to the back is 3rd and the one closest to the front is 1st number, look this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nrm3Fwp9le8.html Your suspection is correct, the middle wheel pack is the 2nd number ;) bye
When a combination lock has the drive wheel on top of the wheel pack the inner most wheel is the first number. The only combination locks where the outer wheel would be the first number are Mosler. They had the drive wheel attached underneath the wheel pack. Mosler 120 and the Mosler 302-402 you had an advantage over the lock when changing the combination. You could stick the change key into the opening while turning the dial and allow it to fall into each opening as it came around.
I now know what I'll be doing tomorrow, I bought one at a flea market hoping it might still be set to the factory combination.. No such luck, gunna have to crack it open.
Oh la la! She looks beautiful (if I do say so myself!). I am happy that you are pleased with your purchase :D Check out my video uploads to see some more of my work. Cheers, Spence.
