Hello lovely beings. I'm Talia From The North (Canada that is). I recently got my first pair of roller skates! I welcome you to join me on my skating journey for tips, tricks, and beautiful skating scenery.
I'm about to buy my first skates (in like 35 years) and I'm itching to get the new Chaya Vintage Denim with the adjustable stop. How did you like your Chayas?
THANK YOU!!! This was so helpful and I was finally able to figure out how to safely remove my bearings without buying another tool! Love the idea of using two wheel colors as well!
I just got these wheels they are great for outdoors however I’ve found it more difficult to learn spins and stuff like that but overall I recommend for beginners outside that are scared of cracks and rocks!!
I skateboard and prefer softer wheels the same hardness as these 78a, always a smoother ride and faster ride. And now im gonna get these for my roller skates! Thankyou
This was SUPER helpful, thanks so much! Although I was a bit too keen with the old flathead on one bearing that didn't want to move, and it ended up popping out real suddenly and smacking me in the eye socket hahaha
I learned a way to do this without the screwdriver! Much the same but you just use the axis (? the now empty screw) of the truck once you have taken the wheel off, then you have a much more stable foundation and less hazardous than the screwdriver! I put the boot on its side on the floor then put my leg/foot on the boot to keep it secure on the ground with my bodyweight : )
That 2nd spot is perfect. I live in miami and christ is it hard to find a nice smooth semi empty spot. Everywhere there is debris and cracks and not the lil ones the biiiig oh crap ones
I rarely find someone with the same name as me 🥰😍! Nice to meet you Talia. Thank you for sharing. Just bought my first pair of Pulse wheels, so excited.
I have a different brand of wheels than the atom pulse wheels, but i can vouch for them because i have used them before on old skates. Not only the hardness helps but the size of the wheels really makes all the difference, so if you are ever going to get outdoor wheels please go for larger ones like the atom pulses. They make a world of a difference
These wheels came with my skates that I just got and I can go over cracks and sticks if they're not too big. I've found that getting really low helps getting through them- good for stability and if you stumble then you're already close to the ground lol
Thanks for watching! I had stock wheels on before that came with my Chaya's (78A 61mm). They had spoked cores, so they were made with a lot less polyurethane than the Pulse's.
