BSA Bob as he was known as. Horder/ collector..call him what you will. .he was a really interesting fellow and knew alot.. Been to his old warehouse years ago in Detroit . Husband talks all the time about going to his warehouse in Detroit..said had to climb up a ladder to get to the bikes ..some theft deterrent lol. Glad to see his collection didn't go to waste. Now off to find a fuel tank for the 52 Norton 50OT ...

Just to let you know. I have fitted the GRT720 panniers to my 450. I have ridden 500+ miles in past 3 days. There is no issue with heat from the exhaust. The temp on both bags is identical after 150 non stop run. So happy happy! They look fantastic.
That's a very interesting feedback thank you! Have you also tried them with a passenger? Maybe the weight of someone in the back could get the bag closer to the exhaust
@@guidoguida8875 I haven’t, but I loaded up with tents and camping gear. Cranked up the preload and all was fine. The bags are outside of the exhaust, so they wouldn’t touch.
I have just bought the 2021 classic reborn 350 with only 1000 km on its ODO and I immediately feel the need of a sixth gear riding it on above 70 KMPH. I feel that there is enough power. It is just that it requires an extra gear for easy cruising at 80 - 100 KMPH. Can you please talk about this and perhaps there is a solution?
There are a couple of posts in the RE owners forum where 450 owners are using the Canyon GRT720 panniers and advise that the exhaust heat hasn’t caused any issues for them. I would still like the Hitchcock solution though.
Hello, thank you for the detailed video. I have a question. I asked my RE dealer if I could install the DNA filter and whether there could be any problems with the guarantee. He told me not to install it under any circumstances, the guarantee would be void! He said that the mixture would become leaner and the engine would overheat. I told DNA about this. They can't understand it and refer to dealers who deliver their motorcycles already converted. I then wrote to RE. RE in turn refers me to the dealers I want to go to. What can you say about this? Thank you!
Triumphs do not have centerstands...along with most others , Honda included (CMX500 is actually 471cc). Ditch the EPA silliness. Ditch the "A2" silliness. Retune to OVER 100hp / liter with K&N air filter...providing just over 50hp total. Wah La ! A PERFECT motorcycle. I like the Blue & White.
Rumour has it that if you fit a throttle body from the Hunter to the Meteor, that will improve the bike as well. Would be interested if you’ve heard or tried that possibility?
Nice review, nice bike! Something that is not mentioned with regards to competition is that when you consider KTM or Triumph you get the "cheap" and "compromised" version of the brand... but with Royal Enfield that's it. That's the brand and that is really important for me. Connotations matter.
Great info, I've just made this mod to my Meteor 350 - noticeable difference in power and response now! It's like the engine is able to breathe now. Off topic question for you, mate, apologies for that, but I was looking to find a peculiar bit of info regarding the electricals: Does the front wheel speed sensor signal go into the throttle body ECU and then into the ABS Modulator or is it the other way round? And where does the Speedo get it's signal from? Cheers for your help, I'm trying to troubleshoot an issue im having. 🙏🏽
There is a huge advantage to the bikes being built in India by Bajaj. They are significantly cheaper in India, so they get tons of aftermarket support from India and China. Cheap farkles for *everybody*!
A tip to mesuare the correct level of oil that I use with my RE Classic is, put the bike on the footrest, wait a minute so the oil can move then put the bike again in the stand and you will see the correct level of oil in the marks.
Have ridden the Gorilla strikes me as a young man's machine very very hard rear suspension but great handling generally but I still prefer the 350 classic more laid back in all respects.
@@johnrocker2986 That's not good news for me, I was hoping for substantially better rear suspension than the Hunter. I agree the 350 especially in the new colourways is the way to go but these are the wife's bikes and she doesn't like the classic look sadly.
I have an interceptor ,l was hoping RE, would have brought out 650 scrambler by now. Looked at the new triumph 400 scrambler. , don't want to drop anymore bhp,
I believe 450 scrambler and 650 Himalayan are on their way. I have not yet heard of a 650 scrambler. Funny, I went in to purchase the Scram 411... 2 years ago and drove off on the Himalayan.
Nice presentation but, as noted by another viewer, this is not a long stroke engine. It has an 84mm bore x 81.5mm stroke, which means it produces its power in an utterly different manner than traditional RE singles. I bought and rode the new Himalayan 452 but really didn't like the lack of bottom end torque. I sold it and went back to a 411 for green lanes and tracks. What the Sherpa engine is suited to, even in the Himalayan, is road riding, on full throttle. I would imagine that it's perfect, in those conditions, for the Guerilla. Setting off, on steep hills with a pillion will need a lot of revs, though.
@@chriskay116 the road (singular) in our area is very steep and broken up. Having tried both, on the way up I'd take the old Himi and on the way down the new Himi :)
Can’t wait to test drive this baby! Hasn’t arrived here in México, though. Asked the dealer here and said they don’t have a date. Guess I’ll have to wait.
