Great haul! That hot pink lace Lilly 2015 dress was the first dresses my girls and I got as mommy and me matches. We went to the store at Disney Springs to pick them out. Such a fun memory. ❤
How much does once upon a child usually take? and how much do you make from it? I always see cute kids things at the bins, but I never pick it up since the resale for me is so low.
@@emmaline4936 I’ve been bringing stuff to them for about 3 years so I’ve kind of figured out what my store likes. They usually take 80% or so on the first try and I bring the left overs back once or twice and eventually 95% gets taken. I get around $1.50 an item so for me it’s worth it at bins pricing. And it’s in the same building as my Plato’s so not an extra trip
You are not alone! My last two boxes weren’t even good enough to donate. Almost all XS and XXS Loft and same sizes in Banana Republic. At first I thought I would list for $10-15 but I don’t think I could even get that. I think ThredUp may be phasing out their rescue boxes and selling their flawed items themselves. They still give larger RU-vidrs good items but not the rest of us. When I first started I always had 1-3 nice things that would pay for the box but the last 3 have been a total burn.
People hate on Plato’s, including me when it comes to what they take and the payouts, BUT!! I find incredible things there as a shopper! Amazing haul with those dresses!!
@@AmandaPruitt I’ve found some great jeans and shoes before but nothing as good as this day even though I feel bad for whoever got like $2 for these dresses
@@lizlevinee oh ya im just talking about recently, not sure what they are doing. I ordered a 200 ibs last November and it was the best 200 ibs I think I have ever seen. I had designer piece over and over again. Recently just horrible. I ordered a few denim and had to donate the whole box
Hi, I have a question. For those poshmark sellers, how does tax deduction works? Cause I am planning to start selling on this platform but to anxious about tax deduction thing 😅
@@ninariccidenizecalimbo5504 you don’t have to worry about sales tax that the buyer pays, they take care of that. You will get a tax form at the end of the year that you will submit with your taxes. It ends up being around 30% that you’d owe in taxes to the gov during tax season. You should keep track of your cost of goods, other expenses, etc. Having an accountant is definitely helpful
So just wondering out of curiosity. What is the point of exposing your sales on social media? Is it to draw in sales from your audience? Or to get views? I used to expose all my sources and sales and in the long run over a few years it started cutting my profits cause of saturation.
@@justanotherreseller351 I enjoy making the videos and there’s plenty to go around for everyone if you’re picking up unique and quality goods. I don’t buy wholesale or bulk of anything, my sources are thrifting so it’s not like someone can saturate that item it would be rare to find the same exact thing enough to do that. I learned so much from RU-vid when I was starting as a reseller that I just like to share my experience with others.
@@lizlevinee yeah I can see finding rare one of a kind items to resell. Can u explain what you mean by quality items? One person's idea of quality vs another person may be complete opposite. Also, I imagine you source second hand stores?
@@justanotherreseller351I’m lucky that I live in an area where I have a plethora of thrift stores to shop at and do find a lot of higher end and designer goods. I look sell mainly on Poshmark where items that aren’t a brand name or vintage don’t do as well so I do take that into consideration. But I try to find linen, wool, cotton, etc as well as pieces with little to no flaws
Which bins location do you go to? I use to go to the Hackensack NJ location but I just recently moved to Northern California two months ago and I miss going to the New Jersey bin. New subscriber great haul
@@lizlevinee oh yes they are so aggressive, I usually just stand back and pick after the frenzy is over and have always found amazing items at that location I also like that their facility is clean. I’m trying to adjust to living here in the west coast and found a pretty good bins location in Sacramento. Best wishes and I will continue to watch you build your channel 🥰
They are my listings of the item. If they had sold it will show a red box that says sold at the bottom of the image. If that’s not there then it hasn’t sold yet and is just what I have it listed for
Usually 3-4 hours! My store is only open 10-6 but they stop bringing out new things at 4 so only about 6 hours of good thrifting if you stayed the whole time
I see that you use stock photos in most of your listings. I have always avoided doing that as I was under the impression it was a violation of the platforms' terms of service and also opened me to a potential VERO claim from the manufacturer who owns the rights to the image. Am I mistaken? I would love to use stock images (especially for long dresses which are difficult to photograph). Can you post a link to where ebay or posh says it's ok to use them? Thanks.
I don’t really use them on eBay but I do on Poshmark. There’s not a kind of penalty for it on Poshmark like a VERO on eBay. I’ve had 2 times on Poshmark where posh has taken a listing down for it in over 7600 listings so until there is any kind of penalty for it I’m going to keep doing it because it definitely helps sales and makes my listings look better. There’s no where that it explicitly says it’s okay but it’s very common practice on Poshmark
