4:20 The only thing that the changes to the entrance to the bus stop has done has straightened it out. Remember that this is a NASCAR track and any changes are only to benefit the NASCAR drivers; sports car racing, including IMSA, be damned. The NASCAR guys will just ignore the turtles and drive right up to the Armco as the turtles mean nothing to those cars. As for sports car racing, this is going to produce a lot of broken cars. Sorry, not helpful.
Thanks for providing information that is authoritative and accurate. Having said that, all of the angst, mostly from track day participants, is strange. "Unless you're being paid to drive a car that you don't own, stay off the damn curbs"! It's not really that hard ladies and gentlemen...
I’m okay with the barrier at bus stop moving… it provides a bit more safety when cars get squeeze there… I’ll have to see at a track day how I feel about the new kerbs there but it looks fine from the video.
WGI has stated they will not be interchanging these curbs unless a pro series requires it. "same curbs they have at COTA" and also the same curbs that people have broken their back on. For open wheel & prototype style cars these are an antiquated safety risk. A quick search of how many serious accidents these larger turtle style curbs have caused in recent years makes anyone wonder why they would update a track with these in 2024.
Stock ride through the bus stop FTW! Leave the splitter a little up and go right by the blue bushes! Clearly, a few people have done this.If you just leave the concrete insert completely out it will be just like NHMS turn 10!
Saw this car downtown on Market Street. One of my favorite Ferrari's. Love the sounds and perspective. I've climbed out of the toe a few times with the sun right there in your face, always brutal. Need to get the M3 off the jackstands and back on the road!! Love the old coarse run too! About 15 years or so back a friend and I - me in the E36 M3 and him in his newly acquired ACR Neon SRT4 - took a run at this just before they shut the street down at the vintage. We were nose to tail doing about 90 through the countryside. On the turn down the hill the policeman up the hill didn't appreciate the way we pulled out and got a little wheel spin, even though there was some gravel right there...he took off after us and read us the riot act. Good thing the call over the radio forced him to go back to his post to close off the street and he was forced to let us on our way!! Good thing he wasn't further up the hill and caught us bumper to bumper at 90...might have been a different story 🙂.
Ok latest Update on the X6 hybrid I’m working on. Cause of no start now is that the engine is not turning when MG is suppose to be cranking it. I don’t really know why but somehow the connection between engine and transmission is not present during cranking. I can hear the motor spin trying to crank the engine but engine never actually spin. This is confirmed by placing an inspection camera inside the CKP hole..

I’m working on one seem like engine might be locked up. I charged up the hybrid battery to 60 percent because it was below minimum (29.6 percent) one time it crank the motor bug turn slow because battery was low I guess but now it does not even crank.
Update. It had code A103 and no pulse from pin 30 of CAS. I took care of that which was caused by a faulty passenger side door handle switch. Now there is no more immobilizer code but still will not start.
Glad you got video at 3:01 of the guy in the RS5 that passed me at over 100 on the front straight, and I'm not talking about the S5 just before him in the video.
So I have an oil leak near that area but it's dripping down on the cat thing that goes to the exhaust. Could it be the oil pan leaking? Also I have n55
