There is an Easter egg in this. When the school is singing the top says long reach. Long reach is a town way far from anything and is where quanta’s started off. They did flights from long reach to Darwin getting people to work and back.
Incompetent government. Out of control inflation and cost of living. Ponzi-scheme housing market. Excessive immigration. Not to mention QANTAS... who asked taxpayers to bail them out of covid lockdown yet handed out exorbitant bonuses to executives and shareholders. Yeah nah, I don't call Australia home anymore.
I'll bet the faces of people who recognise you walking into the same room as them, light up with pure joy when they see you coming towards them. Guffaw... I hope that one day you can accept the life that you've created for yourself. It was nobody else's fault.
This beautiful song, awash with evocative, tear-jerking imagery and tugging at the forelocks of longing we all harbour for home, is richly woven into a tapestry of muted drama and tempered colour like no other. Mind not the troubles that taint our national carrier, the scenes in this and the songs before it are guaranteed to awaken that slumbering pride of calling our peaceful island home the place we will always return to at journey's end. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Troy Sivane, never even heard of him. Wondered who he was. Just reading about him. Wow, he looks like a woman. Born in Sth Africa - not the ideal choice for an Australian advert though. We do have Aussie singers that are born here.
@@SalutimondoLOL, I must have hit a spot with you sweetie. I am sorry. I don't give a rats one way or another about him and I have NO idea what you are referring to when you add my ego into the mix. I am just simply doing what we all do on here - make a comment about what I am seeing. He's a kid and he has a very weak voice. Maybe I should have been more specific but good on you for sticking up for your idol. I hope you continue to stand by him and for today, have a nice one.
I remember boarding QF2 after living in London for 2 years way back in 2005. The sound of Australian pilots and cabin crew on the plane made me feel at home. I remember when we landed, saying welcome home.
You will mate. Although things are getting tough over there, you will get back. I just come back from a trip to see my family again after 5 years and city of Perth. Aim for it!
Absolutely love this ….it tears at the heart strings. I arrived in Australia as a 4 yo refugee from war torn Europe with my parents (I’m now 78). I’m a true blue Aussie as I can play a didgeridoo and have been vaccinated as a true blue Aussie (I was bitten by a snake when I was 10 😀). It’s without a doubt the best country in the world). 🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘
I thought this was the national anthem when i came to Australia 20 yrs ago, and I'm show this song to my kids now as they are learning the national anthem.
LOL no it is not the national anthem. Funny you should think that though. Peter Allen, former Aussie who made it on Broadway and married Liza Minnelli was the composer.
