Having started with video in June 2008 there are two types of video in my channel:
Most of the videos are from the Isle of Islay, where I spend most of my holidays. I'm going to try to show on an all round picture of the island and my experiences.
The remaining videos will mostly be from the south of England, where I live.
This is the only rain-at-the-beach video I've found that has no people in it, and is patiently filmed, without narrative. Most excellent. Cheers. Oh, I subscribed. :)
Port Charlotte doesn't see a lot of boats, at most there are 2-3 moored between the pier and the hotel. And a few dinghies on the shore, that's it. Boats in the water are usually kept in Portnahaven, Bowmore, Port Ellen and Port Askaig.
How, in God's name did you catch such spectacular weather on Islay?! I'm sure a day like this one is a bit rare. The 360degrees feature is mesmerizing. Great post, cheers.
Armin, I've not been able to find Port Charles in New England. Does the distillery import to the US? BTW, do you still have thoughts of posting here on YT, or do you post on some other venue? I would be very interested in knowing. The daily 15-second or so posts don't tell a rich story, just a snippet. Like them a lot, but was hoping for more! Carry on sir.
As far as I know Bruichladdich (who makes the Port Charlotte) is still importing to the US. Best if you go to the Bruichladdich website and check there. Still uploading long videos here, uploaded a long Saligo Bay sunset video two weeks ago and a Bowmore 360° video a week ago. Hoping to edit an Ardbeg coast 360° video this weekend.
@@ArminGrewe Thank you, Armin, I shall check the Bruichladdich website, and especially look for your Ardbeg coast post. Sorry I missed your Saligo Bay sunset but will look up. So glad you keep at it. I'm once removed from the Grants. Hoping to visit the shire when I retire this year, May 4th, day after my birthday. Cheers.
Can't remember exactly, but I think about 2-3 weeks old. First time I managed to catch them close to the fence, previously they had always stayed at the other end of the field, too far away for the phone camera.
An extraordinarily ASMR experience old chap! Well done and, to this rain-enthusiasts mind, a nicely recorded experience, especially the sound, which is top shelf I tell you. I do hope you will post more rain videos soon. I've just now discovered this post of yours, and being a Scotch lover (proper) and a rain-lover, found it to be the perfect experience. Cheers. PS: I subscribed with notifications, just in case you still are getting after it here on YT. :)
Notice the number of young people in this choir!!!!! I hope they speak as well as sing Gaelic, and when they have their families, teacher their children to do the same. Thank you for this beautiful video from South Carolina, USA. What are they singing and what does it mean in English?

Blàth nan cailin, Sìne Bhàn Reul nan nighean, dìleas òg, Cuspair dìomhair i dom dhàn, do Sìne Bhàn, mo rìbhinn òg. ---- The flower of the girls, fair Sheena the star of the lasses, young and loyal, she is the sole subject for my song, my heart's love, the young maid. We had a happy house there, a moorland pasture, grazing land for cattle, our happiness was suddenly cast away from us as wind will spread the mist of the mountains. Turmoil of war in the land see the ships setting sail, hear the drum and the sound of the pipe and see the heroes going on board The flower of the girls, fair Sheena the star of the lasses, young and loyal, she is the sole subject for my song, my heart's love, the young maid. If it is fated that I shall survive despite the roar of the big guns I will rest in Baile Mhonaidh with fair Sheena, my young maid. The flower of the girls, fair Sheena the star of the lasses, young and loyal, she is the sole subject of my song to fair Sheena, my young maid.
