ive been using your video the past few hours while practicing this method. everything is going well/clicking, except i feel like im able to set the x on the slow shadow not at 5 ticks, but instead 4... 🤔
EDIT: If anybody else seems to be having trouble with consistency, something this guide doesn't mention (which I guess is taken for granted but I think is important to point out) is that you can't stand in the middle tile whilst attacking baba, as the shadow's AOE still reaches there. You have to be standing on a side tile. So many deaths thinking I was somehow counting ticks wrong, turns out the whole time I was just standing in the middle like an idiot 🤣 I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but I can never seem to get it to work on p1/p2 melee (the 4 tick count). Are you waiting for the swipe, then starting the count on the next tick? It seems like you are, but when I do it, I always get hit after the red x. It always works perfectly on the shadow (5 tick count) where I also don't start counting until after the swipe. I'm doing it exactly the same just counting an extra tick so I'm struggling to understand why the 4 tick doesn't work for me
Depends what region and platform you're on. NA and Japan are the largest regions, with NA playing mostly on PC and Japan playing on a mix of both (but mostly PlayStation). Most active hours for every region are between 6:00pm-Midnight in whatever timezone you're in on weekdays (it's a salaryman game lol), then whatever hours on weekends. Ranked Match: - How the system works, is you can either wait in training mode for someone to ask you for a match, or hit custom search/quick search to look for people sitting in training mode looking for a match. If you don't see anyone to play on custom search, just wait around in training mode for a minute. That's generally how I play, if you watch the stream you can see there's not too much downtime between matches. Unsure if it's harder for newer players though (they can get filtered by ranked from more active ppl) - After you play someone on Ranked, there's an option to invite them to a lobby after. Don't be afraid to use it, especially if you struggle to find matches normally. I never really bother with Discords anymore because of it Player Match: - nobody really uses the in game keywordless open lobby system (i didn't even know it existed until a week or two ago), if you wanna run a lobby i'd look for the following: - UNI Player Hub #lfg channels are always active, ask around in there to join a lobby. Link to the discord (and some other regional discords) can be found on the wiki: wiki.gbl.gg/w/Under_Night_In-Birth/UNI2 -- UNI Player Hub also has new player channels if you wanna match with just other new people. I loved playing in those lobbies when I was brand new to the game, great resource - Whatever region you're in probably has their own discord as well. Lots of NA regions have been running Danisen lobbies, if your region runs those you should definitely give them a shot. It's actually a great method of explaining something, he pauses at certain moments in his speech to put extra emphasis on it. You could have just clicked on the next video and said nothing, or at the least something useful or meaningful. You're the insufferable one in this situation..
Most RS guides are basically: talk for 45 seconds about the mechanic, then do 1 kill without commentary, then talk again. Your approach of repeatedly breaking and getting back into cycle in different situations while counting ticks out loud makes this incredibly easy to follow.
Great guide! I have usually been doing my raids with red x-ing a potion or the teleport crystal, this significantly improves this room. I have the 5:1 down for the most part now, however, i am wondering if it is possible to to the 5:1 for p3 since baba attacks faster. You didnt really mention it or show an example.
Honestly this type of red x is very OP. Easy to set up, easy to get back into ryhtm if you mess up and it doesn't require clicking any dropped items or the teleport crystal. All you have to really learn is getting your fingers used to shift click under baba followed by the ctrl click on baba. It doesn't take long at all to get long at all for your fingers to get used to it.
Shift click is to run under Baba without Red X attacking her. I never mentioned it in the video, but you'll want the setting in Menu Entry Swapper to have shift click run through enemies. Its not on by default, but most pvmers turn it on at some point. If you're on the official client, mobile, or just dont want that setting on, you can click past baba instead to run through her, its just more mouse movement required. Mentioned in another comment, control clicking is a default game setting that swaps your run click with a walk click (whichever you dont have enabled!). Since you have run on, control click makes you walk after Red X attacking Baba. This makes it so you dont just run back in front of Baba
I just dont get it. When watching it it looks as though the movements have a nice flow and you can tell what the next move is. When I do it, she is very all over the place and you cant tell at all... and I get destroyed
- Stretched mode at like 82% - Low Detail Mode - Resource pack (one of the black ones, id have to check which one specifically) - Monster HP Percentages for Baba's HP, giant boss hp bar turned off in OSRS settings - Better XP Drops - Visual Metronome for my true tile indicator - NPC Indicators, color switched to grey with lower opacity, SW true tile highlight on - Prayer Reordering. i think its default? regardless, i used it to disable the prayers i never use - Entity Hider. definitely use the setting to make dead NPCs dissapear instantly, but i also have Thralls invisible these were just off the top of my head, if there are any more plugins u have questions on just lmk ^^
That's one of the reasons I wanna remake this video, I def ran out 1 cycle late in the example 😭 Cycle should be 1 - Same tick 2 - x 3 - x 4 - x 5 - Super drag or Run under Repeat Huge tip from Insane, if you run under a tick early instead of super dragging, you can set up same tick tank without moving the boss at all
Tick Tracker, set to the % of ticks that arrived on time. Not really needed right now, but it was super helpful when the ToA and shooting stars updates hit and servers regularly dropped to <60% tick rate when they were overloaded
